The recently revamped 21.5" could possibly run it as well but you should check with other youtubers who purchased this new machine for specific tests and reviews. Im not sure how well the games would run on the core i3 (even although the processor speed is quite powerful). Depends on the graphics card i guess

@DynasticProductionz no mate, the imac is not really a gaming machine, as it has a very very high res screen (2560x1440). I have played games like assassin's creed on there however i tend to run them at 1920x1080 because the graphics chip is not very powerfull its only a 5750, if you want to game i would go for atleast one of the 5800's. if you want to game, then i would buy a pc instead. However for everything else, it is outstanding and is a pleasure to use. hope it helps :-)

@DynasticProductionz yup that sounds good, if your budget allows it however, i would go for a slightly higher graphics card if you wish to play lots of games, specially to power a 25" screen. Like i said, try to go for one of the ati 5800's, but don't stretch your budget too far.

I need some serious help here. I am ALL new to iMac and I am 50% sure on getting an iMac that is just because I'm scared to death that I'll regret it. I want it cause I'm not gamer. In all honesty, even the Core 2 Duo 3.06ghz will be plenty for you. Yes, audio and movie editing is SWEET and SUPERIOR than that of a PC. To put things into perspective, I still edit movies on my Macbook Pro (which is a 2.26ghz processor, 4gb RAM and Nvidia 9400 - less powerfull than the 3.06ghz your referring to) and its works a DREAM. Hope that helps

Not really, my dad his the ATi version and I compared then playing the Sims 3 fps and both had the same frame rate when panning and smooth scrolling. ATi card did start out at around 30fps and NVIDIA 25fps so... yeah ATi is better when cooling down the system. NVIDia is burning HOT!

Don't change anything except RAM. The HD and video card are concealed inside. If you try to change it out your warranty will be broken and Apple will not repair in case something happens.

the quad cores are intels

intel is the make or the cpu not the type

the 3.06ghz are core 2 duos (2 processor cores)

and the i5 and i7 are quadcores (4Processor cores)

so if you can afford it, the i7 if not, then the i5 is basically the same, without the ability to hyperthread and slightly slower stock clock speed :)
