Simply an excellent cover! Curiously, although the lyrics are the same, I get different vibes from the two songs. The original stuns me with the vocal arrangement that is typical to Abba, this one... well, this one has the hairs on my back stand up. Just brilliant!

I'm not a Sinead O'Connor fan, but this was a passable version of the ABBA classic, even if the tempo was slowed down quite a few degrees! Next to ABBA's original, however, it doesn't stand a chance. Agnetha's angelic voice in the original ABBA hit is miles ahead of O'Connor's!

I second this. I am so used to listening to the original, that putting a beat to it is just plain strange, and I believe it takes away from the feeling of the original. Abba's version is, I think, meant to be listened to while crying about some hardship, and abba are singing the song to you.

This version doesn't lend it to believe that I can cry and be consoled by the song.

After a second viewing, I think I understand more clearly the events of this tragic, yet uplifting video. You see, because chiquitita is in so much pain, the video is advocating mercy killing. She clears the cocaine off the table, suggesting that one must be doped up to poison someone to death, even in the name of mercy. The creamer is poisonous, as evidenced by her gnarly sniff of the glass. In unrelated news, Navy Blue is Sinead's sexiest color to wear.
