  • Lol and that's how easy it is to beat a gracie. This what happens when you think you can just jujitsu your way out of things. It takes strength and intelligence to be successful in jujitsu.

  • @Desert2Crow if you think it is easy to beat a gracie, your very existence is conclusive proof that god has a sense of humor. Hat's off to Genki Sudo, great performance.

  • Does Royler suck at takedowns?

  • Joyler made one mistake. He should have pulled guard again, but instead he sat up and took a knee. Listen I don't care if he does lose. I like the guy and I respect any man that gets in the ring and fight rather win or lose.

  • Brutal. Genki's the fukken man.

  • us treats there MMA like kickboxing point scoring nothing legit.

  • hahahah in 3:24 someone farts

  • Sportive brazilian jiu jitsu SUCKS for real fighting... Combat Jiu Jitsu for self defense is completely diferent from what Royler was doing, and he knows the self defense jiu jitsu why wouldn´t he used it?????

  • The comments on these things always make me laugh at how silly people are. Warriors, both of these guys! They fought to test themselves against the best in the world and for that they are all deserving of your respect. To idolize someone or put someone else down for doing something that you don't have the talent or the balls to to yourself is just hilarious to me. And the guy that said Bravo beat Rickson is on crack. Bravo had a fluke win vs Royler and is milking it for all it's worth.

  • @Pauly2Bags Those guys who are really practicing martial arts are not saying on the looser that he is an asshole or something like this. Just the ones who have big mouth through the internet.

  • Knees to the head on the ground really need to be legal here again...

  • This is how all MMA fights in the UFC would be if it weren't for Dana White pushing for fighters that use that ineffectual (though more exciting to the layman) stand up stuff.

  • @eamesandrew athletic commission is the holder of the decision of rules.

  • @eamesandrew And what?! The "stand-ups" issue actually made the recent UFCs very far from the Gracies "vale tudo" format of fighting!

  • This Jap really fuck up one of the best Gracie's in his prime and his own game! Watch videos of Gracie's beating journeymen, the Kempo karate expert and all, but when pitted to a Japanese figther they all get schooled.

  • @vividself Genki winning had nothing to do with his genetics/race. The color of your skin does not make you a better martial artist.

  • what's with gracies and getting fucked up by japs? lol

  • and royler gracie got knock the fuck out!!!!

  • asian fighters are to good for the gracie familys

  • viva el k1 los huevos fritos en acite de oliva y ole los japoneses

  • sudo genki is good but royler is just old

  • @Fucknessful Old? He was 38, thats not that old for MMA

  • How good is 3:25 ! Get off my leg! haha

  • are knees to head allowed?

  • I have no idea why Royler did half the stuff He did.I have no love for the Gracies but He's one of the best of them. Its just when You get him in MMA He panics cos he's really a wrestler. He should never have gotten into MMA.Stick to Dubai open etc.Go Sakuraba!

  • @TyghtAlso The Dubai open? You mean Toyler is a tennis player? Try Abu Dhabi, MORON!

No love for the Gracies? The people who revolutionized martial arts and kicked the shit out of everyone? The ones who are being beaten from time to time only because EVERYONE in MMA has to train their system? THose Gracies?

  • @RightWingCon81 Catch wrestlers have been beating Gracies and more for a very long time. What you'd call a Kimura, is actually just a double wrist lock. An americana a top-wrist lock. The Gracies are very important historically, but the reason BJJ guys lose to catch guys has nothing to do with the catch guys 'training' BJJ. Catch pre-dates BJJ and is a founding influence on it. If you're serious about BJJ history, read through it thoroughly and you'll hit CACC at every turn.

  • @DanielBamford1986 I'm not saying CACC is better than BJJ btw. Sounds a bit like that reading my post lol. But what I mean is that they're all basically part of the same idea of grappling. It's not like BJJ, or even Gracie JJ is some monolithic style. It varies person-to-person. It just irks me when people say shit like 'Sakuraba must have learned some jiu jitsu'. I could be a cunt back and say 'jiu jitsu must have learned some catch'. Both are sort of true, but entirely pointless.

  • @RightWingCon81 I confused two places in the U.A.E.It happens.I don't like the Gracies because of thier attitude and things like keeping opponents in hold WAY after a submission etc. Those Gracies.I didnt say that they werent any good.I didnt say they didnt revolutionise MMA.I was making a specific point about Royler in MMA(he has a bad record).Calm Down.

  • @TyghtAlso are you kidding me? Dubai open? Really? And many of the Gracies are quite successful in mma, for example, Renzo. And no mma fighter is shit without at least a little bjj in his or her arsenal. But Sudo is a ver good fighter. anyway, learn your shit before you talk

  • @scarso55555 Calm down.I accidentally confused 2 places within the Arab Emirates. It happens.I'm well aware of how successful the Gracies were in MMA-for example-A slight man like Royce dominating the first 4 UFC tournaments(til Shamrock fucked him up in the "draw").I was making the point about Royler ONLY(who has poor record in MMA comps).I think that Your point about needing a little BJJ is outdated-ground Pencak Silat is just as good,if not better.I agree,Sudo is a good fighter.Relax man.

  • DAMN! Genki fucked him up. I wish they showed the first knees at a better angle though.

  • @Wayofthedragon i think you'll find they all do only the really jerky ones dont

  • lol owned!!!! gracie pussy

  • I love to see the Gracie's lose, they never were as good as they would like you to believe, and these days they are nothing.

I mean, respect for teaching their style and promoting mixed style fighting, but still.

  • @treva31 i should choke you out for that

  • 3:26 is a great image!!!

  • muito fOda!!!

    Sou fã do Genki!!!

    O cara é minha inspiração!!!!!!

  • Well this wasn't under unified rules... so what's your point? Unified rules also allow elbows to the head of a downed opponent which most Japanese rules systems (as well as others) don't allow.

  • Fuck you, Pride allowed soccer kicks, stomps and knees to a downed opponent. Its an athletic body who states the rules, not individuals, its called fighting, whether or not you like the rules its the mother of all competitions and if that doesnt fall in line with your pussy ass, sensitive logic than go "play" karate bitch. Genki Sudo FTW!!!!!!!!!!

  • @catlike4456 First time I heard someone insult Genki and it better be the last time.

  • @catlike4456 Shows what you know moron, pretty dam obvious if he did it it was allowed. Ever heard of pride? Idiot.

  • Genki defeated Royler and Kid defeated Royler........and Kid defeated Genki.......damn...

I know it's only 1 match each, but still......tells you something.

  • WE ARE ALL ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • that fight bring two legendarys images of mma, genki give respect to a ko oponent and the flag we are all one

  • gr8 fight ! sadly gracie's generation is over.

  • that was the case along time ago...

I think it started when Royce after winning the UFC was choked out by Wallid Ismail in his natve brazil...

  • Idk, maybe if Ralek, Ryron, and Rener fail, then I'll believe it.

  • The commentator said Genki Sudo studied wrestling when he was younger then travelled outside of Japan to learn Jiu Jitsu.

  • what is the name of the martial art does Genki Sudo play

  • progressive fighting i guess...he do hav sum striking but his subs are awesome..

  • Genki is a wrestler. But some say Free-style Jiu-Jitsu.

  • @TheEmperorIsDead He's sorta wrestling\jiu-jitsu hybrid! Just like Caol Uno.

  • yea thats a TERRIBLE ref

  • @symphox1 im sure you would do much better. he stopped it as soon as royler stopped defending himself, thats his job

  • was the ref taking a nap? shoulda been done right after that knee

  • The Japanese hold quite a few victories over the Gracies. Never heard of Sakuraba, the Gracie Killer?

    Knees aren't illegal here.

  • I love your username lol it fits totally when you respond to this chum

  • @WhyMustYouBeSoStupid - He's da "Gracie Hunter" bro...

  • @WhyMustYouBeSoStupid And about silva, the sakuraba killer?

  • @WhyMustYouBeSoStupid

knees arent illegal in brazil either tho?

  • @WhyMustYouBeSoStupid

oh nvm, i get what you mean

but Sakuraba was the Gracie Hunter

    Wallid is the Gracie Killer

  • @WhyMustYouBeSoStupid kimura too

  • @WhyMustYouBeSoStupid Gomi had to be my favorite Gracie KO. eventhough it was a stoppage

  • Genki was known for being a really classy guy.

  • Amen to that.

I always thought that Genki was bowing to Royler but here it looks like he's checking on him.

  • I still think he is bowing his handsand feet come together. And nI think I smell some tma people trying to paint mma guys as thugs. The vast majority of fights the guy comes back to check on his opponent, its more noteworthy when it doesn't happen then when it does. You experience the adrenaline, fear and testosterone all dumping into and out of your system and then we will talk.

  • Either way, he proves himself to be a real gentleman.

I love how he doesn't run around bragging and screaming when he wins.

  • Brilliant way of combining Jiu Jitsu with striking, That knee to the face looks downright nasty.

  • Goddammit Royler!! Stop using Butterfly guard when the guy clearly just wants to stand up from it. Besides, everyone knows that leglocks aren't that safe.

  • Agree. He's a good fighter too but here he came across like a one-trick puny.

  • great one here from Genki!

  • thats the only win over a gracie only with royler

  • um no, royler was 5-4-1 in his MMA carrier, Eddie Bravo beat Rickson. The Gracies started getting beat after people started cross training in BJJ and their previous forms.

  • Um no, Bravo beat Royler at the 2003 ADCC. Brave has never done MMA and never will...

  • Eddie Bravo defeated Royler NOT Rickson that was at the ADCC

  • That depends, I think many fighters did not really learn BJJ, just learned out to defend against it. A prime example would Henderson vs Renzo, great match, but Henderson was just too skilled for him...

  • Yeah I don't think as many people train Jiu Jitsu as some think. Because they just learn how to escape from moves or counter them when needed.

  • Genki Sudo is AWESOME !!! WOWW !!

  • awsome ko by genki

  • yes, heel hooks, knee bars etc..........

  • is there such thing as a "leg bar"? coz i think that's what is royler trying to do at 03:04... LOL

  • close royler was going for a heel hook. a preety nasty sub

  • It would be the knee bar, since it attacking the integrity of the knee. The arm bar is attacking the integrity of the elbow, so it should be called "elbow bar" but I guess, it doesn't sound cool enough. But, yeah, the "leg bar" and "knee bar" is the same, in that respect.

  • genki sudo is full of class , people just dun appreciate him thats all

  • Freakin awesome! 5+ stars!

  • Genki Sudo never gets boring :>
