If you watch the video, his bike actually lands the frontflip without him on it and keeps going. So that says that if his bike landed it perfectly without him on it, then his extra weight would have thrown off the speed of the bike's rotation, and he would have ended up under rotating and landing on his back wheel, resulting in god knows what.
