You can look at more recent actions by the Dems that show their roots - The voting Rights Act and the Civil Rights Act was filabustered by the Dems and passed by the GOP. Now, shall I go into the history of the Dems in the 1920's and 1930s? Face it, dude - I have facts and history...

Taft expelled the Progressives from the GOP, and a few decades later the liberals expelled the Dixiecrats from the Democratic Party. Whatever ugliness that was in the Democratic Party a hundred years ago is in the GOP today, so calling Democrats racist is about as valid as claiming Germany is about to conquer Russia. The data forming the conclusion is outdated and therefore irrelevant.

The Civil Rights Act was officially proposed by a Democratic congressman, navigated through Democratic-led House committees, was tabled by a Democratic speaker, passed and sent to a Democratic Senate, tabled again by a Democratic Senate Majority Leader, passed again, and signed into law by a Democratic president. The bill was tabled - by the Dems becuase there were not enough votes to pass, and the bill was then filabustered again by the Dems and could not be broken even though the Dems had a super majority. The break and the passage of the law came from the GOP - not the Dems. these are the facts.
