Perhaps it's because of the memory of your scent. Sometimes someone whom your attracted to can have such an enticing scent that it can be remembered. It can also be on your clothes or even on the smell of your bed/possessions. You simply can't tell because you're used to it. When it comes to your girlfriend I imagine she really loves how you smell, she probably remembers your scent.
