I work at a cardiology clinic as a cardiac tech.... had a man download a rhythm strip with severe V.tach and a heart rate of over 240bpm! Was surprised he was even still standing! It's not hard to notice on the ECG paper! Big adrenaline rush! Got him to the ED asap and he was prescribed a defib implant.
my idea is say that pulseless Vtach can be unstabe they beats 230 beats and Vtach beats faster than SVT.but have less beats than pulseless and a more stable.
@hilljack2yakie, yeah I actually had my procedure done recently because I was having breakthrough attacks, I would grab a bag of ice lay on my back and bare down it really works
This is nothing when I went into the ER fir the first time with my tachycardia (which was recently treated) episode my hr was well over 200 bmp. Scary stuff
@blzbug242 I have episodes of tachycardia too, one of them I almost fainted and was white as snow when the ambulance came. I had no idea how fast the rate was, but my chest was just shaking irregularly all over, I drank water at a cafe and got into fetal position to make it stop. The lady there said my eyes were rolling over...
@yellowwitch1 Depends on the type of tachycardia, you can have Supraventricular Tachycardia, Paroxysmal Supraventricular Tachycardia, or Ventricular Tachycardia
@MxC1337MxCsh43d Sinus Tach ain't no big deal. Run down the street and you'll have sinus tachycardia......I don't even know what you are replying to........ but I'm assuming I was talking about life threatening tachycardia
@hilljack2yackie I know, Sinus Tach is achieved like, ten times a day, run or have a cup of coffee, you have sinus tach... But I was just nit-picking, heehehe...I know what you meant hehe
i was diagnoses with tachycardia when i was like 16.. my dad has it too and eventually ended up on meds for it, even though i get lil bouts of irregular beats, its been happening more often and really strong spasms outta nowhere, im 24 now do you think i should talk to my doc soon? should i be medicated or you think im fine for now,,,, er help me i dunno wut to do
GO SEE A DOCTOR! I have Ventircular Tachycardia to and there is Medication out there to stop it. I take Ternorim. Please see a doctor its your heart the Engine for your body not you left toe.
@MizeryLovesCompany77 Soon is not soon enough.I'd say RUN don't walk to your nearest cardiologist with that family history, but on the other hand RUN is perhaps not the best operative word in this case! Get a workup done stat!
I had this condition for two year where my HR would go around 200 for 1-3 hours. It's usually not life threatening but it's very very scary for the person that has these episodes. A fairly simple surgery can cure supraventricular tachycardia for ever..it has a 95% sucess rate. I'm one of the 95% :D

VT offen result in hemodynamic compromise. what make this ryhthm more ominous and a 3 group of more PVCS is a run of VT.

@ashleingh this is ventricular tachycardia.
vkoles0030 9 months ago
If it's SRSPTSRSPT a bit like this with with P and T waves, it's stable at rates lesser than 160bpm.

Thats is life threatening, heart might not last, body is not getting enough circulation, VTach might progress to Vfiv, heart is just like quivering.
