  • I'm pretty involved with YTP, but I don't take it seriously.

  • I never really liked Stuart. He annoyed me with his long rambles about stupid stuff. He also insulted us and claimed he had the right too.

  • Fuck.... I wanna play Sim City 4 again now.

  • @DoctorShyGuy Ditto •_• I dunno what made him so depressed. Was this a sympathy act or something? Beats up on himself for 18 minutes straight, and pops back up in less than a month. He was either not taken in to college, lied, or changed his mind.

  • i hear modest mouse in the you a fan?

  • see! ytp is bad an evil

  • @antiytpmovment It's not evil. He's just telling you to not take YTP, skype, or anything too seriously

  • And.........he's already back.

  • @BarneyIsPerverted I know....took him long enough. I thought he'd never get back.

    Lazy redneck.

  • Lol, when I listened to Stu in this interview, I actually thought he was being honest.

Then I saw his last video.

  • @ComradeMorshu I swear that guy is bipolar. Now hes saying "You're a Youtube Pooper. That means you have complete freedom to do whatever the hell you want. I may sit here and tell you a whole bunch of shit that you're supposed to do but you do whatever you want"

  • 15:05 - 15:48

Stu would later go on to call MLP "Mama Luigi's Penis" and declare the people who use it in their poops as "4chan fags" who have "fucking problems", thus giving the community another unnecessary reason to rip itself apart.

  • @avojaifnot What I believe avo is trying to say is that TEH PONY SHOW is just a source and doesn't necessarily mean a pooper is "x" because he/she used "y". Now, yes, pooping something usually does show some sort of interest in the source, positively or negatively, but some people are taking it too far.

  • Why is he getting any flak at all for this?

He's bringing up a pretty good message IMO. Those of you who think he's being ignorant, or pretentious, or whatever, I think one crucial point people are missing here is that this message isn't for everyone.

If you think he's insulting you, you're being too sensitive, because he's probably not talking about you. And Stu, I was never too familiar with his stuff, but that's one sorry story. I hope stuff works out for him.

  • .......lol..............

  • And as evidence of my decreased involvement with youtube, I finally became aware of / read your message one month later than you sent it. I apologize

  • I'm having a spell of apathy, and I've come ridiculously close to considering closing my account. I'm just tired of the trolls and the ridiculous people who dedicate their lives to YTP just like you mentioned. They're trying to suck me into their virtual world and I just don't want to go. I enjoy making videos but not to the extent where it takes over my life. Hopefully I can pull through and release another video before I'm suspended a second time by a troll...

  • I never knew how sentence splicing a cartoon character into saying penis made people so serious.

  • You're being close minded and arogant. I care a what people think about my vids because ytp is my main jam and I want to improve and to reach a broader audience. I spend hours making videos (which is fun in and of itself) but its more special because I have an audience. I get a little too wrapped up in youchew and ytp sometimes but thats because its my E-home when im not doing stuff and its fun to chat with people like me. Dont assume people dont have lives just because they enjoy the internet.

  • @smokutusofborg I agree perfectly.

  • wow, i was inspired by a youtube video

ps. sorry for posting shit on yer news thread stu i was new and high

  • I think its important that we all remember that one day we won't even remember we were poopers. And when you finally get up and leave poop for good, the memory of you will just fade away. So what you do here won't matter to anybody but yourself and those you made laugh. Your opinons of YouTube Poop matter in the community as much as YouTube Poop matters to the world.

  • I haven't let poop take over my life yet and after seeing this, I'll make sure I never will. I have a lot of friends. Actually, I'm one of the most popular kids my school and I have near perfect grades. Thats why many people I know are shocked that I makes these weird ass videos. When this shish is taken seriously, it only makes whatever it was you were taking seriously in an even worse state.

  • Oh, and goodbye Stu.

You were once one of the most respected leaders of Youtube Poop but now you will live on as a shining example of what happens when Youtube Poop is taken seriously by somebody respected. It takes more than many of us will ever know to find something seriously wrong with yourself despite all the praise you receive. After you find a place for yourself in this world, you come back and tell us. We would all love to hear about "Life after Poop".

  • Okay, this makes sense.

Recently (very recently but before this video), I stopped caring about this shish. If you tell somebody their poops are bad then they take your opinion the same way you would take theirs. Everybody just does what they want and the way their videos end up is all about what they watch and who they know. What they like changes every few days so saying something to them isn't going to change anything.

Though I do admit, spamming Waxination with Joe was fun.

  • MUSIC FROM SIM CITY 4!!! I was sitting there for like 4 minutes thinking "where have I heard thus before damn itt!

  • Ive been going in a bit of a "poopression". i would make a joke, then say "nobody would like this. Only a moron like me would like this joke". This video helped me realize: I was judging my poops with the poplular standards, not my own. Thats why i was never liking poops i eagerly started. The jokes were not me. TBH, i always thought of bender as a bit of a jerk. maybe he was at some times, but everyone has a troll in them. I trolled on robotos dr octagonapus (different account). Thank you BP.

  • congrats to you bender for becoming your own man. MAN FIST

  • Wow, and here I am thinking that maybe I watch way too many YTPs...never really worried much about addiction, because I'm usually behind on current trends due to watching a lot of the old ones...

But enough about me talking about myself. This was a great episode that needs to be linked everywhere. Youtube channels, TVTropes YTP page, anyway you can link it, please do so, people.

  • I agree with you should spend more time off the internet, and trying not to take this kind of stuff seriously.

  • This the most touching story I heard about Youtupe Poop and the whole community.

I am not involved in this community of poopers, I just watch them and I almost never post a comment at it, but this time, I do comment.

I have some friends in my previous class and I told them about YTP, and they started to like it. After a few weeks, they watched a bunch of them. Suddenly, they started to shout: ''Mah boi!'' And such. The conclusion of this comment is: It's for fun, not to take over your life! LIVE

  • People actually get serious over youtube poop?

    Damn... I just watch it because i'm a short-attention-spanned retard shut-in.

  • Maybe I should turn the thing I do into a hobby, before it's too late. Before I become addicted. Oh wait, I already did that. Maybe I should stop releasing new videos every week instead.

  • People take poops this seriously? That's retarted... I've been watching poops since it came out, I never went on any community, I just enjoy the ones that make me laugh and the random crap pisses me off...

I guess this guy is preaching common sense, but he's doing so with a lot more emotion than appropriate...

  • "This is Stuart K. Reilly for the last time. Fuck off."

  • I'm glad I haven't become one of those overly YTP involved people. I've always done it for the lulz.

Then again I'm about as opinionated as a spatula... really. I never really grew up. ;D

    Great video, really insightful.

  • I usually tell my opinion on poop styles nowadays (I hate the mainstream visual rape style and prefer a more classic style). However, since it is just meaningless videos, I'll let to each man his own on this subject though I would like it if some would follow the classic style because it entertains me more. I have other facets such as bike riding and stuff.

  • YouTube Poop is an interest of mine, but I'm not obsessed with it (Vocaloid, that's another story). I do happen to have more than 10k posts on Youchew, but I don't just talk about poop all the time. Hell, I rarely talk about poop. I mainly post that much there because I've made a ton of friends there, I love how close knit the community is, I love the sense of humor, and it's just a great place. Am I obsessed with YTP? Heavens no.

  • Wow, I never knew Youtube Poopers were that serious. Of course, I mostly just go on random searches and find people I like, such as DinnerWarrior.

  • I have to agreed with this. To be honest, people are taking YouTube Poop way too serious because these type of videos were suppose to be creative, not just for trolling. And it's not Stu's fault for causing this, it's mostly the trolls fault for calling people bad. That's just adding fire to the fuel. As a matter of fact, YouTube Poop didn't affect my life for some reason, because I'm usually having fun with YTP. Hey, I know it's a drug, but I can't help it.

  • It's funny, I just recently watched a video from Extra Credits applying the same basic topic to video games. It was about gaming compulsion, and in the episode, the writer of the show for the first time actually got on camera and told how gaming destroyed his life years ago. His message to everyone was that if it's consuming your life, don't think that it's too late to go back, because the funny thing about life is that it's always willing to take you back. I think that message applies here too.

  • sims city 4 music! :D

  • true

  • i wonder if stu ever saw any of my poops or tennisesez from back in the day.

    i doubt it.

thought i didn't dedicate 2 damn years to it. i got over YTP fairly quickly. i still enjoy them it but i never critique them, or obsess over them.

i haven't made a poop in over a year, maybe longer.

  • If you're reading this, Stu, know that you can't hold yourself responsible for the thoughts of others. You expressed some opinions and people either took them for what they were worth or adopted them as truths.

I agree YTP is a drug. I spend less time than I used to (mostly making videos), but I still need my fix. I honestly think it has more being prone to obsess over something than the thing itself.

The whole point IS to have fun...anyone who fails to do this is losing out.

  • On a more serious note, let's all get off the internet!

  • Oh, I have 7 Sins on my comp for the collab of your show. I am pooping it.

  • I really can't believe that someone could destroy his life by getting too envolved with YTP. I also take YTP little bit too seariously time to time and spend even more than 15 hours watching and learning. But that's cause I'm a lazy bastard who has nothing else to do but to be sitting on the computer making poops, watching anime, writing or doing someting else to waste my life

I'm not spending so much time online cause I like poops, I got into poops cause I'm spending so much time online.

  • this was boring... I'm going to go watch the King demand spaghetti for dinner now

  • Comment removed

  • I have been thinking the exact same thing. It has always puzzled me how something so silly could be taken so seriously by other people. I like YTPs very very much, and I also love to make them as well, but I have always recognized them as being nothing more than a hobby and a silly fad whose only purpose is to bring the lulz.

  • Stuart's right, it's too damn hot out.

But in all sincerity, he's right. Every last bit of what he said is true. Youtube Poop, if you let it, will end up corrupting you and destroying you. We can't let this become our lives

  • @GummyBrains not really there are trolls all over the internet and stuff but art isnt always criticized just look at the people on youtube who do paintings and stuff since its their stuff nobody has really said this sucks because of x y and z and thats actually why i like YTPs as well because it is a type of art and when you put anything online expect trolls

  • Woh. This makes me look at YTPMV and YTP in a different way and hes right about it completely. I hope more people can see this and hopefully think about this a bit.

  • "Youtube Poop will hurt your mind, your body, and your life"

Sorry, it had to be said.

  • To paraphrase the NC: Wouldnt listening to youjust be doing what bender ells us to, but if we dont we're following everyone else?

  • I honestly cannot handle making them anymore. I am a sophomore in high school and have barely any time to make videos, and I constantly have people who are bothering me about lack of uploads.

  • I made a rather lengthy post on YouChew that sums up my feelings quite well, and I'd recommend anyone interested look it up and read it. But I'll try to sum up my feelings as best I can.

This was an absolutely fantastic episode. You've perfectly communicated what many YTP vets have been crying out for so long now. I do hope everyone gets this message. But, I will say, there is no shame in being involved in the community, so long as you learn to laugh along with everyone else and just have fun.

  • I got Vegas because of two things:

    1. WMM crashes more than a drunk 80 year old that's texting and driving at the same time.

    2. Premiere was WAY to expensive for me (I didn't know that there was a cheap-o version of Premiere, but I did know there was a cheap-o Vegas version)

  • I didn't get Vegas because it was the new fad. I got it because it's way better than WMM and I didn't feel like doing all the registering shit with Premier.

  • Alright I went back and listened to this, and man is it some weird shit. I knew a lot of dumbass kids got a bit too overzealous, but had no idea it could resemble a "drug" of sorts. I'd always thought this of ALL things was pretty much the last thing anyone would take seriously. I guess that's what I get for being detatched from the 'community'...

Now you'll have to excuse me, I was just in the middle of being anti-social before all this began, and urgently need to return to that.

  • lol I just watched and hated 7 Deadly sins of YTP earlier today, so hearing it deleted was funny to me ("haha my opinion is worthless now" funny)

Well anyways good to see that your more recent episodes are less bias and more focused of what matters, and you are also more focused about what you think.

  • Yeah, I just watch YTPs for fun. I've actually got a few ideas for some, but I'm too lazy to get a video editor, and I agree that this could be really destructive if taken too far. I'm actually the most popular guy in my school, and I think it's based on the balancing act between my work ethic and my playful disposition. It's not the most easy to maintain, but I feel really fulfilled by it. Anyone else?

  • i find that YTPs are a type of art like writting is an art and so many other things that people dont see art as art and it should only be done for fun like art

  • KevinTAckerman

  • i learnt awhile ago not to change for others there are some who will like you for who you are and it doesnt matter if its how you do the vlogs to how you dress and this is a super awesome vid thx for the upload

  • What the hell is this?

  • This is an amazing episode, and I hope more people see it.

Guys, share this thing like a flu.

I really didn't know stu was that addicted.

He doesn't sound like a no-life person at all on his news show.

  • @blackoutworm Yeah, I don't usually ask for my episodes to be promoted or anything, but if you had to pick one of my shows to spread around, well, this would be it.

A lot of people can actually benefit from this.

  • @blackoutworm Don't ever judge a person based on their appearances, voice, or on his/her opinions. You might not know what kind of person they might be like in real life.

  • @TVgamefreak So true. But on his news episodes, he really does sound too cool to be a no-life person.

  • >mfw I spent 14 hours masking a 4 second shot of a posterboard while working on a ytp

    lolololololololololololololololol

  • @SgtScrubnoob that is nothing to lol about.

    That's just sad, dude.

  • @CruelVids well no vegas crashed halfway through so, if you count the second run, it was only 5 hours. Oh well. It turned out really really well.

  • and to think, the irony of it all is after talking about how youtube poop destroyed so many people, it secretly destroyed him from the inside...

  • Oh shit, im an asshole.

  • What a sad story...

  • y so srs? jk, i agree with what yall said, a tip of the hat to you good sir

  • I agree, too much involvement is a bad thing. I wouldn't say that YTP has ruined my life, but yes, I devote lots of time into it. I'm on the comp for about 4-6 hrs a day (maybe 7-9 if the weather is bad outside or something). Rest of my time is spent with family, IRL friends, and going outdoors. I used to sometimes take criticism too seriously (especially getting dislikes on videos), but thanks to an IRL friend and other people YT, I don't care as much anymore. Also, good luck Stu w/ everything.

  • even though im fairly new to the ytp community, i do realize that it can be addicting...in fact i have caught myself starting to spend too much time working on this stuff. i really think it's the thought of getting really popular and getting thousands of subs and all that junk that gets people so involved. but like you said, it won't matter very much in the long run.

  • (cont...) Looking back, I’m glad I stopped using tourettes guy word replacement and the like because of him but I’m also glad I didn’t become him in hating spending my time hating other styles. It’s been interesting to see my videos praised by someone that opinionated.

  • I’m very glad that this subject was brought up. It really needed to be said. Also it’s been interesting for me to see how Stu has changed since I first met him. I had posted one of my YTPs on Youchew and he was expecting just another spa-dinner guy. Boy was he surprised. I never agreed with everything he said but I will admit that he has influenced my perspective on YTP. (cont...)

  • Damn... powerful stuff here. I agree with you both wholeheartedly. I know people like this and I wish the best for them, and everyone like them. And to Stuart K, I've listened to your ramblings for a long time now, and while I'm a bit sad to see you go, I hope you get back on your feet and make something of yourself, just like you said. Peace.

  • A week ago I decided I was gonna stop being active in the community, 2 days later I changed my mind. The day after I decided I would stop taking YTP seriously, later on I couldn't stop myself from doing it even if I tried, not sure if it was habit or lack of desire to stop. I dunno what I'm gonna do, even if I did, tomorrow it'd be different. I don't know what the right choice is, I'm just gonna make sure I set up my real life right regardless of what I do here.

  • Stu's story really hits me hard... his beginning sounds just like mine.

Good show, a tad late for me though, since this thought has already smacked me hard in the face. I'm stressed over this, but I can't seem to drag myself away from it. My DID has reached an all time high of making my brain into a mess. I literally cannot make solid decisions about what I'm going to do anymore in this community.

  • Welcome to the internet, sunny jim.

  • "there is still good poops and bad poops" Eh... disagreed there, because how are we really supposed to judge what is funny or not when humor is subjective, let alone the fact that a lot of people think YTP doesn't need to be funny. I recall someone saying YTP was supposed to be "bad", so technically, their video would have been good, because others thought it was bad. Next comment will be more relevant with the entire video, just have to shoot the "badpoop/goodpoop" statement down whenever I can

  • Well this is defiantly some deep stuff here, really noticing the last few of the BP episodes have almost sounded like they were NOT fun to make, that being said, it sounds like Stu could use a healthy break from the inter-webs, I really think it will do him well, and I wish him the best!

As for everything else that was said.. JESUS I feel so out of the loop, been here since '07 and got no thin but laughs out of it, then again, I log in to chill out, laugh and have a good time! =)

  • I have been taking this way too seriously just like a lot of people. Thank you for making me realize this, both you and Stu. I can't help but feel bad for Stu now

  • This episode really speaks to me. In some wordless, intangible way this episode really makes me think.

  • I really enjoyed this. Self introspection is part of growing and aging and I'm glad to see you looking back and seeing yourself as someone else in the past. Some people confront this experience with acceptance, others with denial or hostility, inward and outward. Everyone and everything is constantly changing.

And Mr. Stuart K Reilly, you will be missed

  • 5:15 - I have always pictured that to be awkward as shit.

  • you TOOK DOWN 7 DEADLY SINS YOU BASTARD THAT WAS MY FAVORITE EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lol at the title "Crossing"
