  • The direct lift control of the Lockheed 1011 is very nicely visible! The aircraft's pitch is almost constant and the spoilers (up abot 1/2 an inch) after flap deployment, aren't connectet to the ailrons for roll control. But "too high" responds in engine sound decrease and spoiler rising in opportunity to "too low" whitch means an increase of thrust (engine noise) and lowering of the spoilers.

  • I was a Flight Engineer in the DC8 for Rich, 94 to 96. Always enjoyed the view of the L-1011.

    Thats good to know Ive been handling Rich when They had C46's coming in from miami.

    Think I may have handled a DC8 or 2 charter flights.Thanks for reply and viewing

  • Nice to hear from you, this was actually one of the last Rich Flights to Maui in 1996

    the flight on the way back was delayed about 15 hours. But I liked my flight very freindly and helpfull crew . I handled some Rich Intl a/c before they had 1011's.

    But Im glad I took this vid.
