tales was just the icing on the cake.. i needed to get Assiasian Creed, Bioshock gears, and GTA IV was amazing... im waiting for the ps3 to drop like another 400 bucks to be reasonable... too much money for not enough titles right now on the PS3, but i do miss my MLB THE SHOW!!! god sports blow on the box.

all ps3 has been doing is taking xbox exclusives and adding "extras"

they did it with eternal sonata and it was hardly noticeable... their doing it with star ocean.... vesperias extras seem promising but i assure you they sound better than they will be

it's always the same way with extras

and extras aren't worth getting the game like 2 years later

they need to just get their own damn RPG's

i'm tired of having nothing but old rpg's re released on the ps3...

my ps3 wants its own rpg's

u can heal others in semi-auto and manual u need to activate first aid then target it with the d pad

Hi guys, I have the same problem w/ not being able to use Estelle's First Aid Arte to heal other characters in battle mode. I can only use it when I press Y and the game freezes. It seems as though Estelle can heal others in Auto mode, but not in Semi-Auto or Manual. Can u guys plz help me out and tell me how I can manually heal other party members? Thx a bunch =)

I had trouble with this too but i can help u with this. First you need to activate first aid. Second, you press right or left of the button in the left corner to target a person. I dont know wat the button is called because i just bought the 360 and tales of vesperia

Estelle kicks ass. I'm looking forward to her. I might actually like the Tales heroine this time around. Collette was that impressionable on me, because she had to compete with the powerhouse that was Presea, and Tear was too old to compare to Anise...

Flatchest and old lady just can't compare to the awesome power of a (sorta)loli, and a loli with a giant plush of doom. But Estelle kicks ass, so, she might beat out the loli Rita. ;3

Interesting to note is that, as someone said earlier, Estelle's name is a variation of Stella, meaning "star." The majority of her artes are based on stars. In addition, Vesperia seems to come from the name of the Greek figure "Hesperus/Hesperos" ("Vesper" in Roman), who was known as the Evening Star and brother to the Morning Star. So this game is largely influenced by Greek/Roman mythology in the same way Abyss was by Judaism/Kabbalah and Symphonia by Norse.

They renamed Estelle's sword artes on purpose; they're based on the sky/stars to fit her character. My reasoning is that she's lived a sheltered life and probably taught herself swordsmanship through books, giving artes that other Tales swordsmen knew her own names without knowing that names for them already existed.

It's not like the arte name changes are permanent. And at least Pow Hammer is a regular arte, rather than a spell as in many other Tales games (w/ reference to Grand Chariot).

They seem to be personalizing attacks for each character, but I think Repede is the user of the "real" demon fang (now called demon dog), it seems to act most similar to the usual demon fang...

star stroke was stolen from natalia in tales of the abyss which was a jump move and she shot arrows down at the ground.

they variated the skill just like a lot of others skills to fit the chars.

Yeah, after all Rita's Freeze Lancer and Tidal wave look extremely advanced for a girl who only has Fire Ball or Aqua Edge as well. I think they just put them in to show off the pyrotechnics of Vesperia.

Grand Chariot has sure changed since Colette last used it. It looks like it's going to be the Angel Feathers/Eclair D'Larmmes/Photon of Vesperia.

Anyone notice that when it vanishes, it leaves behind an impression of the Big Dipper? I'm guessing Estelle is going to have some star based power. Since her name is a variation of Stella.

Looks like it. Air Divide is also Kuushuuken, a Lion tech from Destiny. Extreme Stars appears to be Akisazame/ Sword Rain.

It's nice to see a healer with some decent sword techs. :)
