@jdstanley91 I was just at a Mardi Gras parade. This song seriously comprised about a third of the music they played (the other two thirds went to Party Rock Anthem).
I was in London a couple of years ago..... walked around in that place called Soho. On the frontdoor of a Chinese restaurant was a piece of paper, the lyrics of this song was printed on it. Really..... that was the restaurant mentioned in this song and also the food mentioned in this song was on the menu.
Kid Rock really embarrassed himself with that sad rip-off...then again, he IS Kid Rock. So he's probably not embarrassed at all, but he really should be.
@piscesfishK I love his song All Summer Long but I also love Werewovles of London and Sweet Home Alabama. I honestly think he did that song to pay tribute to two songs he loves.
@40shithead FYI this song - Werewolves of London - was recorded by Warren Zevon for his 1978 album Excitable Boy - Kid Rock sampled it, ie. ripped off/bought the groove after the fact. This song is Original. Kid Rock's song is Derivative, on several levels. Trying to re-invent/appropriate history is always a mugs game because there are always those who know what really went down.
i have a question. im only 14 so im not fully sure. but isnt this the same riff as sweet home alabama?? which was released in '77 where was this was relased in '78..
yep, 19 yrs old and fuck the 95.9 bullshit that everybody but me seems to love. every once in awhile there's some good songs that come out but how i wish the music was still how it was back in the 70's.
My kids listened to the entire Excitable Boy album when they were 10 and 8. They found it in someone's trash and told me about after about 2 weeks cause they thought they'd get in trouble for stealing. I knew 'Werewolves" but had no idea Zevon was so talented. I'm 54 years old now and it is still one of my favorite albums ever and never paid a dime for it.
Just the other day i had the amazing experience of singing this on Rock Band. I of course completely butchered it but I had so much fun singing this classic.
Of disrespecting warren ZEVON like you are maybe you should thank him like kid rock did when warren let him use his tune. P.s. You do know that warren zevon brought in over 7 million dollars for his what did you call it "one hit wonder if that" yeah his one hit wonder made him more money than you will ever accumulate in your entire life.
@13craj I think you need new music. Kid rock ruined 2 amazing songs in 1 of his songs. Sweet home Alabama will go down in history as one of the best songs, so will werewolves of london. Im 17, and I've come to realize, my generation has no taste in music. I completely agree with @UBERMonkeybuttface
@puckblocker845 Kid Rock did not ruin any classics. Why can someone not realize that the classics are still classics and the new generation will eventually be looked upon the same way. All Summer Long is a great song, and in no way is doing any harm to Skynyrd or Zevon, but more honoring them.
@puckblocker845 Every generation has shitty music. The Beatles had about as much lyrical content in their mainstream hits like "She Loves You" as Ke$ha does in any of her songs. The cream always rises to the top, 10 years from now people will be talking about how their music sucks and everything was so much better in 2012.
@puckblocker845 Oh yes , you got it right. People ripping off music. Kid Rock sucks. I'm so glad you recognize the problem, But, trust me, there are people of your generation that are making good music. They are not rappers. but, they are out there. Keep looking, you will find it. =)
also, my father attended woodstock 69 and was a coke fueled biker until about 86, I was at woodstock 99 kid rock kinda sucked then as he does now and may god have mercy on your soul forever and ever in the name of the father the son and the you don't know what the hell you're talking about you chairman Mao licking son of a whiskerbiscuit.
I'm 29, my older brother is 31 and we were raised on vinyl like this, my sister just turned 21 and could sing you every line of this. My younger brother (25) could play every instrument heard in this song to you, most of my friends know this song and a few of his others, hits are not everything.
Werewolf 1: "Mmm...The forearm is such a delectable part of the human.."
Werewolf 2: "Indeed Sir, it is such a shame that it's too early in the morning for a pint of guinness to wash this delicacy down- nevertheless this tea shall suffice.'
If you don't like it, don't listen. Thanks to Kid Rock, for honoring Warren Zevon. From 7 to 49, my family loves Kid. He showed respect, diversity and taste.. Label you...yikes. Live and let live.
@99thJediWarrior No Kid Rock sampled Sweet Home Alabama by Lynard Skynard in his song All Summer Long. Sweet Home Alabama however is original get your facts straight, Kid Rock sucks Lynard Skynard is amazing and Warren Zevon obviously rocks.

it's still a good song. If you enjoy this song there is absolutely no reason why you wouldn't like "All Summer Long" by Kid Rock. Except maybe you have something against the guy?
@TheJeepWheeler No. Kid Rock's song fucking sucks and I have nothing against the guy. His taste in music is quite good IMO ,as he managed to channel two great songs together. But it came out cheesy as all hell. I fucking detest his song. I wish he would have just left the two songs as they were. Great on their own.
@TheJeepWheeler Obviously. I hadn't even posted on this song. I just disagreed with your post. That's how these comment things work. It starts off with one comment not necessarily directed towards anyone. Then everyone chimes in. Glad you like All Summer Long. I disagree in that you don't have to have anything against Kid Rock in order to hate that song. He fucked Pam Anderson and drinks beer. I like him. I don't like his song.
