  • that's just him warming up you ass rocket... no part of this song resembles needle in the hay.

  • @mynameisinept

oh, i didn't realize you were jv.

how the fuck do you know he wasn't strumming a little elliott smith. certainly not impossible.

  • it sounds nothing like needle in the hay. sorry.

  • theres something beautiful about a man walking down the street with a guitar and a song. not asking anything in return. if anything he's giving you the chance to stop, and enjoy something so simple so beautiful.

  • I'm seeing him next week here in San Diego. Getting excited. He puts on a very nice and very distinctive show. Super nice guy to talk to after as well.

  • you know the beginnig is an elliott smiths song? :D needle in the hay riff

  • i knew him fm the band mk ultra

i like most of songs of john...

  • i do too :D

  • John seems to be obsessed with Hotels. What's THAT all about? He went on and on at an in-store in Indianapolis recently about his hotel room the previous night.

  • so he came to st. louis university a few days ago, and for the encore he led everyone outside (50 people or so) and played 3 songs outside, including this one. it was quite amazing.

  • Saw John last night opening for Stephen Malkmus and he was absolutely AMAZING. This song was especially beautiful. I'm definitely getting all of his recordings and seeing him again.

  • I'm shocked that so few people are familiar with Vanderslice. He's especially awesome live

  • What the hell, how can John Vanderslice be playing and people treating him like a hobo? Los Angeles people reaffirm their status as absolute retards!

  • just dont take it so serious mate. vanderslice is not elvis.

  • maybe it's just my geographic location or something but i am absolutely amazed to see an artist of this caliber out amongst the people.

  • I just saw JV @ Plush in Tucson, AZ. Great stuff, full sound. The guy on the keys shoulda taken his shirt off and the bass/violin/backup vocals player rocked.
