Huntsman is most likely the only candidate who can beat Obama. The Republican primaries this year really illustrate to me why we need to have non-partisan primaries where the top two candidates run- party primaries make it really tough for a moderate candidate to win and often produce two candidates representing a more extreme population. Huntsman seems like a genuine, intelligent guy, but unfortunately has a very slim chance of winning in the current political climate.

Huntsman is most likely the only candidate who can beat Obama. The Republican primaries this year really illustrate to me why we need to have non-partisan primaries where the top two candidates run- party primaries make it really tough for a moderate candidate to win and often produce two candidates representing a more extreme population. Huntsman seems like a genuine, intelligent guy, but unfortunately has a very slim chance of winning in the current political climate.

Huntsman is like a not so radical Paul so I really wish he were the front runner, both have good ideas and values. I don't think he has a chance though, unless he says something magical that will make everyone pay attention to him and change their opinions on him and Mormons in general. Huntsman reminds me in some ways of John Anderson (Republican/Independent) who ran against Reagan in 1980, but had no chance with small-minded voters, who've only gotten worse since then.
