I think I can agree with you on the energy comment regarding Maka, but I have to giver major kudos on how fitting the voice was for her - sometimes characters like that can be a lot harder to imitate successfully than you'd think.

I use a Dynex microphone, which can be found on Amazon for as little as about $4 used, and for this clip, recorded in Audacity from my dorm room. (I know, totally unexpected, right?)

However, recently, I came across another program that's been providing MUCH better quality for my recordings, so I'll be using that from now on as far as I can tell.

But yeah, my entire setup actually only cost me about $23, and half of that was cork boards for my dorm room walls. XD
