  • 1:57 - 2:17 is eargasmic

  • the bends=best ablum ever

  • Honestly, I've been listening to this every day for six weeks straight. Normally I would be fed up by now. It just says how good this song really is... or to me anyway.

  • LOL. I wonder if hip-hop will ever be this good.

    NO. -___-

  • @b3rrics94 no, it would just copy half this song and then be rated as a top song for the rest of the year unfortunately :P

  • I want Radiohead to make another rock album like this.

  • @thejoj96 Go buy Radiohead's My Iron Lung EP if you haven't heard it yet. It has 6 high quality tracks that were recorded during The Bends era. Once you get that EP make sure you hunt down the b-sides from the same Bends era: Maquiladora, Killer Cars, Talk Show Host, Banana Co and Bishopes Robes. Now combine the tracks from the My Iron Lung EP with those B-Sides I just listed into a playlist and you have yourself 12 tracks which I like to call The Bends 2. :)

  • @SasquatchTestes oops, I forgot to list India Rubber (another B-side from that era)

  • @thejoj96 ya this was one of there best

  • this song is about how they hate singing 'creep' a million times.. incase you ddn't know

  • @Johnnys1700

I think Creep is one of their most overrated songs... OK Computer is the real masterpiece.

  • This is my favorite Radiohead song

  • Agreed GamecubeLPs...a truly amazing band.....can't wait to see them in Berlin!,,,

  • This band seriously ranks up next to the Beatles for me. Not going to lie at all.

  • My favorite from The Bends

  • @JerrysDerby

Yeah, same here. Reminds me of Muscle Museum or something out of Origin of Symmetry

  • The guitar notes @ 2:30-2:45 really makes me feel wonderful. . . I've hardly noticed them before amid everything else and now they seem to stand out more than anything.

  • wow, the cool distorsion riff reminds me a lot of muse

  • @JerrysDerby Makes sense. Muse kinda based their whole sound off of Radiohead.

  • @JerrysDerby -- muse ripped off radiohead

  • @rayraykins I wouldn't say they 'ripped them off', bands have influences, While Radiohead have always been original I'm sure they too have influences.

  • Orgasm should be one of the reactions.

  • リラの樹だ

  • @bananararabai Plastic Tree's Rira no Ki is a cover of this song, right? :3

  • @KiyaRoraito similar to it .cover ?no, different dato omoimasu.

  • I'm AM TOO CYNICAL TO SPEAK thats why I tend to stay quiet in social settings

  • love it

  • live is better for some reason

  • @lifeofsk Except Nirvana was before Radiohead, but sure.

  • @EliasFrostMusic technically, Radiohead were a band before Nirvana were together. Radiohead formed in 1985 and Nirvana formed in 1987.

  • 35 ppl... oh wait i have a life

  • @FreeFlores now this will be imitated by millions if this itself wasnt an imitation of someone elses idea

  • @FreeFlores fuck off

  • @Huntawayz ? did i say anything to offend you?

  • @FreeFlores clearly not

  • Comment removed

  • the best band since mozart

  • I like those rare occasions when Youtube puts Nirvana or Muse (please don't start comparing them) videos in the suggestion bar :)

  • don't know how about you but i clearly hear nirvana in that track.

  • @TheKakolHerezji well both bands were probably influenced by punk rock bands like the sex pistols

  • @AintHome000

    you didn't understand anything!

  • dammit now i have to find ANGELxINxDESARKNS comment

  • @FreeFlores Haha same

  • You bastards, I came onto YouTube to escape from Linear Algebra.

  • VEVO pu JB next to this video *RAGE FACE*

  • @ANGELxINxDESARKNS I think everybody who has viewed this appreciates Radiohead's "My Iron Lung" much more then your private school education. Good song, eh?

  • Enjoy the music , why the hell are you guys talking about difficulties of various college courses?

  • This is so great. I'm just getting into radiohead, where the hell have I been?

  • thegoodteacher(dot)com

  • Without a doubt one of the greatest bands of all time. No question. You can mention them in the same breath as any truly great band you think of.

  • @gazz12345a no there even better

  • @splinter360 The Gallagher brothers > Radiohead

  • @splinter360 It's not one of the greatest bands ever it's THE GREATEST!!!

  • @splinter360 so much emotion in their music yet so much complexity and beautifulness

  • love this song!

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE.

  • the only band on earth that has a completely own style

  • @AxCYeR Not true.

  • @AxCYeR not true at all

  • @bonachioli that's c00l =) fun starts at 3:04 for me =)

  • i love radiohead but this one isn´t exactly my favourite one, its ok till 3:04 but then it goes annoying

  • Wow I just saw middle school ad saying New Jerseys math scores 3rd in the nation. I am not in that group, I'm 22 and struggling with algebra. Atleast I can utter english words. hahahahaha

  • @bogusman4000 youre retarded then, im 21 and i just finished differential equations and linear algebra. I cant begin to imagine how stupid you must be to struggle with simple algebra.

  • @ANGELxINxDESARKNS What the hell does this have to do with this song?

  • @ItalianIrish1976777 It depresses me, as much as this song does, because i used to listen to this song all the time when i was going through a pretty rough period a year ago.

  • @ANGELxINxDESARKNS fuckin pussy. we're all really impressed with your math capabilities.. and it's sad that you have to bring that shit up on here to try and prove something. so you go back to algebra and we'll go back to forgetting you exist... because in the end, you will have no impact on anything

  • @ANGELxINxDESARKNS Oh so people who struggle with maths are automaticly stupid? Funny because I cant do it either and if showing off is your thing then ok, I am a historian, enough said.....oh and I am 20, So shut up you muppet we're here for the epic Radiohead....Peace.

  • @Chauncy666 HIstory is very important to study, but anyone would agree that phd level mathematics require much more intellectual capacity than even writing a history text book. im not implying that im more important or even better than any of you. im just saying algebra that is so ridiculously simple. I really can not understand how a person can struggle with it. Excuse me if it surprises me, i went to a private school, and no one struggles with algebra at caltech

  • @ANGELxINxDESARKNS I normally have enormous for respect people who take the effort to study maths, and have the capability to do so succesfully. But I just HAVE to laugh at how stupid it is to start about how smart you are and how good you are at maths on a music video. You must be intelligent in a certain way, but you need to learn to get in touch with normal human communication.

  • @ANGELxINxDESARKNS you'd probably be less surprised if you'd ever had the misfortune to attend a comprehensive school. they're a lot more representative of the fabled IQ bell curve (and, indeed, real life) than your cushy private school. i find it incredible that you'd assume life outside your school was identical elsewhere :P

though i guess this is fairly hypocritical of me; i shouldn't be surprised that you're not particularly socially aware, given your educational background.

  • @ANGELxINxDESARKNS

Finishing linear algebra at 21 is hardly anything to be proud of. I know several 19 year olds taking said course that are doing just fine. So I'm guessing you were trying to say that, in your eyes, you yourself are pretty stupid--so an individual struggling with math more than yourself must make the person in question REALLY stupid. Or you just have an overinflated sense of self worth.

  • @23skidoonk You're irrelevant interest in age does not do well to mask your absurd remarks. If someone was to complete linear algebra at 19 and stop taking math classes, while someone who was 21 in the same class went on to more advanced math classes, would the 19 year old still be more intelligent? Your idiotic logic amazes me, it is the extent of your knowledge that dictates intelligence not the time at which you obtain that info. Algebra is easily understood by 11 year olds, linear alg isnt,

  • @ANGELxINxDESARKNS

Don't try to sound smart: it doesn't behoove you.

  • @23skidoonk Are you that stupid? the biggest words i used were irrelevant and knowledge, which are both common vocabulary. I must not be putting in very much effort or perhaps not trying to sound like a flaming homosexual like you. I have to say, do continue to act like a jackass, it does suit you.

  • @ANGELxINxDESARKNS

I'd stick to the name calling, it's much more on par with your intellectual capabilities. The point still stands though: passing linear algebra at 21 is hardly special. At least not in a good way. :)

  • @23skidoonk Funny because I dont remember saying i was any sort of genius, in fact i was saying that my pace should be the average pace, no skipping classes/ summer school, just average regular schooling will get you to where i am. I think I will submit to your superiority with a prostrating gesture and end this pointless argument.

  • Miley Cyrus is awesome, but not as awesome as Radiohead!

  • Muses's mom wishes they were as cool as Radiohead.

  • DE LAS MEJORES CANCIONES DE RADIO HEAD

  • que rola tan chida

  • All the instrumentals are taken from a live version :O

  • I wonder if "were too young to fall asleep" was originally "were too young to fall in love" I can see Thom changing that to avoid the wrong mood. I love this song either way haha

  • the doors suck

  • @jambomurphy1991 Opinion

  • @horsex5. Those are not the greatest American bands. Those bands are a mockery to the word great. They are shit. Greatest American artists are Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Metallica, Foo Fighters. Not freaking Modest mouse. You fucking retarded hipster.

  • @TheOppbitch Modest mouse is absolutely better than every band you just listed. Foo Fighters? What? How did they even get on there? I don't even.

  • @SmoothHourglass You have got to be kidding me. Modest Mouse is nowhere near close to a great band. Nobody will even know who they are in 10 years. Dylan, Hendrix, and The Doors have lasted since the 60's. Metallica has been around since 1983 and will without a doubt be remembered as one of the greatest metal bands of all time. Foo have been around since the mid-90's and are on their way to being remembered. Modest mouse is just a lame band with a small cult of fans who will eventually grow up.

  • @TheOppbitch Just because a band is popular doesn't mean they are any good. I am not going to call Hendrix or Dylan bad. But I can legitimately say that The foo Fighters are a slightly above average in comparison to everything else that gets played on the radio. And Modest Mouse has a pretty substantial fan base. Many of whom are young or in their thirties. Seeing as they came out of the nineties they are not going to have that many old fans. Even if not remembered, they are a great band.

  • @SmoothHourglass I completely agree. If you are going to base a band off of popularity, then i declare Justin Bieber as the greatest musician ever. And if you are going to base a band off of the amount of time the have been remembered, then i declare Beethoven, or hell the Gregorian Chant as the greatest music ever made. Obviously this is completely subjective, and you can not declare one band greater than another for any other reason than the fact that you enjoy their music more.

  • @TheOppbitch I totally agree

  • @TheOppbitch All you did here was name drop and further prove you're stupid

  • @JollyJollyJoseph yeah. i "name dropped" the greatest american bands and artists there ever were. i did this to correct horsex5's claim of greatest american bands when he "name dropped" bands like "Built to Spill, Modest Mouse, superchunk, dinosaur jr, les savy fav and rocket from the motherfucking crypt, yaow" as the greatest american bands. I realize that music if subjective, but greatness isnt. Being a good talented band is far different than being a great band. None of his bands are great.

  • @TheOppbitch All of those bands are incredible. They did so much for alternative music, just like Hendrix and Doors did for rock and roll.

  • @JollyJollyJoseph No... they really didn't. The bands i named propelled rock. All those alternative rock bands mentioned have been part of the downfall of rock. Rock, nowadays, is considered a joke to most people. That is why so many youths are starting to listen to music from the 60's 70's 80's and some 90's, because they love rock but hate what its turned into. Grunge started the downfall and now indie is just kicking it while its down. I dont mean bands on an indie label, i mean hipster indie

  • @TheOppbitch You're generalizing rock way too much. When talking about bands that go from The Doors to Dinosaur, you can't brush them all under the same label. And if youth is listening to bands from those era's, they'd be listening every band mentioned currently.

  • @JollyJollyJoseph I agree with you. Bands such as Modest Mouse, one of my favorite bands of all time, pushed the boundaries of the music industry. Rather than having an overheard sound with a different voice, they created a new sound that has given a unique fanbase happiness for years. In the end, that's all that matters anyways.

  • @TheOppbitch "I realize that music if subjective, but greatness isnt"

What are you talking about. Greatness is subjective. I consider Modest Mouse and Built To Spill great. You don't. That is a perfect example of subjectivity you moron.

  • @SmoothHourglass thats because you dont know the definition of great. the yankees and red sox are great, but the nationals and blue jays are not. that is the comparison you are making right now.

  • @TheOppbitch You yourself said music is subjective. Sports teams are not. Music and Athletics are not the same. If you can't understand this then we might as well not be arguing.

  • @TheOppbitch hey mr one man band with the overall judgement of harmoneeee. shut your peccadillo mouth you muppet.

  • @SmoothHourglass Modest Mouse better than Jimi Hendrix? I like MM but come on

  • @mook5555 Yes. Of course this is all subjective but it is my opinion.

  • Reminds me of Caribou by the Pixies.

  • Kid A > The Bends > In Rainbows > OK Computer > Amnesiac > Pablo Honey > The King of Limbs > Hail to the Thief

  • una cancion que me gusta mucho de ello

  • I'm 98 and I don't listen to the shit guys my age listen to, like Rachmaninoff and Dvorak.

I still listen to music before it went mainstream

    F*CK MOZART!

  • @ChilldudeVS for real?

  • @traveller89 No, I'm actually 12 but apparently that's not cool anymore on Youtube... :' (

  • @ChilldudeVS You're a twat.

  • @ChilldudeVS

don't even know what to respond with...

  • @ChilldudeVS christ man thats prety bad hehheheheh

  • @Nirvana415 piss of noobsack

  • @scenscoff Good comeback- you should write poetry.

  • @Nirvana415 naw you hehehehehehehhehehehehehehehhehe

  • @ChilldudeVS

Actually, some of those guys are good. I respect them but it is not my preference. All good music can be treated equally, but not bullshit music. Mostly mainstream. I know, Mozart was mainstream, but so were a lot of good artists, too. You just got to pick the jewels from the pile of shit. Oh, and if you're 98, shouldn't you be listening to Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis.......stuff like that? Mozart is about 400 years old, not 100.

  • @aijunk2 Actually the first Mozart album came out in like, 89'.

  • @OutoftheblueNinja

Well, that's because back then they didn't have "albums". I do understand that universally any one can like him, but it seems far fetched that his generation ONLY listened to that. And like you said "the first album was in 89'". So nobody would of really known his work up until that year, really. Back then, they didn't have the INTERNET, where they can look any one up. To me it seems he would of grown up with the 20's blues and jazz and the 30's folk.
