Your paying to unlock on the disc to unlock extra things/bonus things. The car industry does the same thing, you want a car?Fine then pay up. You want it to be nicer? then you pay extra. Are people going to accuse the car industry now of being greedy?
Also I think that some of that DLC is for lazy people who doesn't want to unlock them by playing.
My first experience with this was with Rainbow six Vegas for 360. The devlopers were mad because they were being forced to charge on the live market place for a few maps packs that where free on PC. Something that was done all the time. The issues where not that they where charging but what they was being charge for it. It wasn't a whole new story or side quest, it was something small and just meant to extend the gameplay a bit. Great article, as they pointed out, M$ changed an idustry...

dlc should be like this to me if its extends the storyline that really couldn't fit on the disc at all then thats fine u know thats ok with me if it extends the storyline of the game with new characters and new side missions that could not fit on the disc then thats fine but if its already on the game i see no point of buying so called dlc to unlock something thats already there. dlc should be made just to extend the storyline that couldn't fit on the disc thats all nothing else

gears of war 3 is guilty of this aswell. the horde pack,the extra weapon skins and raam's shadow were all locked in the disc.

I never forget the pc version of dead space 2 got hacked and the gamers released the dlc on the disk to everyone!
ok why is dlc on the disk? Because the casuals will buy anything!! why do people buy call of duty every year? same reason..
