heh, look up on youtube for diablo / diablo 2 and shining force / shining force 2, you'll see!

And the original SF games were more like FF7(the adventure mode, where you travel across world map with your character) + FFT (the turn based battles) indeed, but a lot more simple and with a much bigger army to control. Do a little youtube research, you'll see. ;)

It looks closer to Diablo than to Shining Force, that's why. We want a Shining Force game that feels like a Shining Force game, with a ton of cool characters to build your ~15man army from and control them in turn based battles.

Running with 2 guys and spamming spells is entirely different thing. Why to copy other games when the classic formula was nearly perfect and it was the core of the whole series success?

heh you use gaia nova lvl.3 on everything in the same exact way that i do...i just spam it and i completed all the legion hives. i dont even bother using weapons anymore even though my arsenal of them consists of the best ones and i'm level 130 something, though upon reviewing this video 2 times i see that i havent even fought the legion king yet so i guess i didnt complete all the hives...i wonder, what equipment are you using if you dont mind sharing?

i wouldnt ever delete my save file for this game, takes too long to do things and its hard but its ok that you cant remember. i've got force scepter, holy shield, rune helm, force armor, and a ring and bracelet that gives me a significant boost to magic power. i do have a melee setup as well...on a side note it turns out i didnt beat all the hives, need 2 more, i have 2 seals of darkness. i cant seem to beat the "Dragon" one, i cant even damage the head dragon...you know why?

Talking about the Arc Dragon in the Y-arm hive ? Yeah it says Y-arm hive in my game it's supposed to be Wyrm but I digress, that boss is one of the hardest in the game.

When I killed it I had Dragon Killer force art maxed and most of my other melee based force arts maxed. I had some good equipment that added lots of str and atk bonuses and I used the Georgius bow because it does extra damage against dragons and is long range. Long range is the best way since he can one-hit kill you up close.

Also make sure you clear out alot of the other dragons so you'll have some room to run around.

Oh did you know you can power up some of your party members by bringing them to certain hives? There's a Guide on gamefaqs that tells all about that.

yeah i was talking about the Y-arm hive, i always wondered why it was called that, it didnt make much sense. i guess it's a mistranslation since it's kind of similiar to Wyrm but at first i thought it had something to do with robots...

i just maxed my dragon killer attribute thanks to you reminded me to, no wonder it was taking forever to kill a single dragon and most of my equipment is the same. i hate resorting to using bows but it seems theres no choice in the matter.

and yes the Arc Dragon seems to be the hardest, the legion king doesnt seem half as powerful...one thing about that dragon is he has insane regen, his health just skyrockets all the way to full in no time flat...and yes i knew about the power ups but i'm not sure how many there are. i got a few though. i'll look at the video and see, i have yet to go through the bonus dungeon. i'll do that after i clear all the hives. by the way vandolf revisited is a nice touch, beat on him more severely.

The Golem hive is in the southern part of the graveyard, there's an underground crypt you need to go through (I think it's just east of that big giant tomb in the middle of the graveyard) in order to get into the fenced area the hive is in.

Actually I guess I beat the Ghost there's just no teleport to that hive. I have only 1 seal left which I though would open the 25 Hills hive but no dice.

you have to touch the teleport orb around the area just before the hive to activate it so you can warp there and what i would do is check to see what hive you are missing from the list so you can have a better way to pinpoint the missing one. i forgot how many there were but you can easily go to the force room and look on the map at the empty places you havent been and just go to them on foot, the towns will be there so it will most likely be a hive that isnt. i had to do the same thing, a pain.

there are also a couple extra areas you can use them on too. there are 2 doors in Sinistry Valley and one hidden away in the dark castle. They don't lead to hives or anything but they lead to treasure chests that have some good stuff.

Uhh...I think Sinistry Valley is north of Larcyle Fort, it's the bunch of caves you have to go through to get to the Ice region.

it's not a problem, we all brag about something or another..but yeah i devoted alot of time to this game as well. i'm not sure if its more time than you but it did take me a long time to get level 142. ive had the game for over 2 years now and leveling sporadically to eventually get 200 one day. anyway Exa is easier than Neo because it isnt as long and it's easier to upgrade armor, level, and customize your stats. you get a crapton of energy as opposed to only getting some here and there in Neo.

Oh dear Goddess, The Labrinyth(sp?) of Kings the cheapest dungeon evar O_O. I remember fighting the demon from the 3rd Trial of Light as a Random foe in there. Then there's the Arc Dragons who OHKO me with the Lightning Breath.

Yeah those arc dragons were scary, they OHKO me too if I got too close but I managed to kill them from a distance in about 10 seconds with the Meteor Bow.

3rd, Do you have a Strategy for the 3rd boss, in the Fire Sanctuary, it kills me just as often as the Ice boss.

4th, Any good tips for the "Man behind the Mask" after the Fire Sanctuary boss?

umm, u know the legion hive caled y-arm, or called wyrm, umm im very strong liek level 150 cuz i got lazy of completing the hives, then the last hive i got left is that, it took me a few minutes to kill the other dragons, but the boss regenerates so hard. i defeated him eventually but how do u get him to not regenrate or kill him easily, i use magic by the way.

My character was a fighter so I had most of the Melee force arts maxed, like critical hit, strength, and Dragon Killer. I used Georgius' Bow (a good anti-dragon bow) that had some good Attack+ mods and I also had a secret art on it, I forget which one though. All I did was slowly go through the hive and take out all the dragons from a distance, then I went after the Arc Dragon using the "hit and run" strategy lol. I'm not sure what you can do using magic. You try Gaia Nova?

Phantom spell is actually pretty awesome. It creates 4 dummies that the enemy will attack instead of you. The thing is they don't last long but it can save your life in the right situation.

Well. I never played a magician before, I always went with a 1-h sword and shield. One thing I do know though is that Force Art drops depend on what location you're fighting at. So if you don't find Force Arts in the area you're at, try fighting somewhere you never been to. Just don't get owned XD Also some really cool Force Arts don't drop until the Ordeals of Light, Dark Castle or the Bonus Dungeon.

For the hives that have Dragons as bosses I usually use The Georgius Bow or whatever it's called, the one strong against dragons. I just run around like crazy dodging the dragon breath and firing when I can. Thats how I would do it though, like I said I never used magic before. Maybe someone will read this eventually and tell you how.

You'll come across it when you get to a higher level. I don't think alot of people know this but the higher your level, the more powerful equipment will drop. It's called the Force Scepter, you'll have a monster or a spawn thingy drop one eventually :P

it's a certai monster drop to get it fast, it is in the Legion Hive of Thunder or something. Even so, i had to use a Stone of Light or whatever it is cold that makes you invincible

:P not to brag but yeah I am over leveled. You could get mad at me for saying this but the Archer Class is useless when it comes towards the end of the game. When fighting the Legion King, the End Boss or screwin around in the post-game bonus dungeon, I had no problem using lvl 3 Gaia Nova and my Big ol' 2 Handed Punisher sword. Gaia Nova rules because it stuns monsters but the Punisher Sword does MAJOR damage..

I'm sorry i wasn't thinking, you don't need a darkness orb to get into this place, you just need to complete all 20 hives. And about the Arc Dragon, try using magic on it, like the Gaia Nova spell from the force scepter. Also check the message boards on gamefaqs(dot)com for this game.
