Glad you showed that, I had that happen about 10 feet away from me, in the dark. It happened from over use... (approx. 10 shells in 20 min) I was very lucky it was a teaching moment for me. Glad you made the video.
I had a shell blow up in the mortar last Forth Of July in the middle of a 780 shell finale. The mortar did its job just like your video, but blew apart the rack resulting in shells being fired back at the audience. Needless to say, I will build a barricade for this years show.
