I still love the manics now,but during the richey years they were fuckin amazing!! No band comes close, musicaly, lyrically, band image, the way they performed live, artwork, everything was perfect,so a shame he got fucked up:(,I still love u tho lads.
hops, skips, jumps, shouts, plays amazing guitar, wears a crazy hat but gets away with it and whilst doing all of this at the same time still looks incredibly cool, gotta love JDB!!!
im 33 soon ,i been through the whole thing with them ,i know james and nicky met richey loads before they got big,now they got money and are rich totaly defeats the object of why they got together in the first place, miss you richey !
It's so good to find this on here. ABsolutely right - this album was so underrated and has disappeared from the annals of rock history it seems. I remember when this first came out I AM that old) and I played it non stop. You can't even get it on ITunes. And this song is a blinder. Fuckin brilliant. Best Manics song ever and beats Motorcycle Emptiness and all their post-late 90s stuff.
that hat is just literally ridiculously sexy. i don't even care if anyone thinks that's weird of me, because he's james dean bradfield, they're manic street preachers, and this is sleepflower.
ohhhhh, this song makes me want to rape things...
@sickparrot123 Haha, you are a sick parrot. I was once down the front of a Manics gig, and I have to say, james blew me off, er...I mean away..with his guitar playing...But seriously I dont know of anyone who can play like that, sing like that and do both at the same time, without being a cunt about it. They are probably in my top 3 gigs of all time, or better, because i was right there in front of james...spitting out the rage, while I was bounced around by fat rugby boys.
Oh, to have been able to go to one of these gangs. Even though the band never seemed to like it much, I think GATS is one of the most underrated records they've ever done. It really has some of the best music James as ever written. Abso-fucking-lutely fantastic.
Ah the golden days...when Britis new what proper rock music sounded like..fuck muse...

This part of the Manics' history does seem a bit out of character, but I do love Sleepflower and a lot of Gold Against The Soul!

I think Sean Moore is one rocks most underrated drummers. The guy is one of the most rhythm solid drummers I've ever heard!
bleachershane 2 years ago 6
i would thoroughly agree...not only solid, but highly adept ....and a powerhouse at the same time. no easy feat.
ahagestedt 2 years ago
Absolutely agree, wish I could steal him and get him in my band! A good drummer is a hard hard thing to find hehe

Sean Moore is the hardest hitting, grooving-ist mofo ever. We love you in NYC, see you on the east side 10/7.
