  • SPLIT YOUR LUNGS WITH BLOOD AND THUNDER WHEN YOU SEE THE WHITE WHALE!

  • you can tell its fake because when its flying the sun is on its other side but the shawdows on the ship are shooting in the other direction showing its on a sudeo with multiple lights!

  • For 2020, I can again work:)

  • Well damn, now I want to be rich so I can cruise around in that.

  • FAKE!!!!!1

  • wow

  • and it lands every time someone checks in????

  • Really nice done, lets wait and see what will be from it. Cause of energy consumption, who knows, maybe soon it'll be the Zeppelin-like constructions renaissance.

  • @D6team and then the airship pirate rebellion

  • The Hidenburg has nothing on this!

  • I doubt it will ever get off the drawing board. Still,I wouldn't mind seeing it become a reality. I love BIG man-made creations, be it buildings, ships, aircraft, you name it! But would there be a demand for a floating hotel that can't cover much ground very quickly, and any kind of medium to strong winds could cancel your reservation, or make it exceedingly uncomfortable, Instead of asking for a doggie bag at the restaurant, you'd be asking for an urp bag!

  • @Hypsan I agree.

But I can definitely see people liking it.

Just live on a stable thing while you float around the planet.

It depends though, because if it flies over certain countries it could be seen as hostile, and shot down[possibly unless they contact them before hand]

  • I'd like to reserve a room for two please. And, oh, are dogs allowed?

  • @zeppship

And why not? That thing will NEVER be built, unfortunately unlike the R101. It's an economic and engineering nightmare. They're more focused on making the interiors pretty than making a functioning aircraft that can actually turn a profit.

  • they should call it SkyWhale

  • We are going to run low on helium. In a few years, the cost of helium is going to skyrocket, as supplies reach a trickle.

  • @Pooua

Then we'll use hot air from Washington, DC. There's plenty of it.

  • Comment removed

  • @lionsgate12345 Hot air gives a lot less lift. However if we manage to harness the power of nuclear fusion, we could make our own helium

  • In b4 some idiot shoots it.

  • ...the Age of CGI is upon us!!!

  • It looks like there should be a giant fish hook hanging out it's backside.

  • Doesnt matter what we do. How many ideas we have. Aslong as our politicians are fu**ing around we wont see many new inventions leave the hangars.

  • @mivic86

Fortunately, it's unnecessary to build new airships like Hindenburg. Hybrid airships are coming into their own, and are pretty much superior in almost every way to pure LTA aircraft. If the Hindenburg was a flying hotel, then the new hybrids out would be the Queen Mary 2.

  • @mivic86

Sadly, this ISN'T Hindenburg. Hindenburg could carry 70 passengers in unheard-of luxury while actually turning a profit. This is so poorly designed and unworkable it can only hold 15. It's overweight, draggy, and likely unstable and unsafe from the lack of control surfaces. At least the Hindenburg was workable before it was converted-incorrectly, obviously- to Hydrogen. Trust me, there are much better ships in the works than this flight of fancy.

  • @Jjames763 Well, that's just details. I wouldn't expect a real one to be like that. They could build one like Hindenburg, and fix all the flaws it had. Use modern technology, make it better. But there's just too much politics around it. Too much speculations. That sucks.

  • @Jjames763 Your making it sound like a modernized version of the ill designed r101

  • This ship will never be built, but there is some serious talk, these days, of something similar being used as high-speed (relative to a ship,) semi-autonomous, bulk cargo carriers.

The idea being, it would be a cost-effective way to move serious tonnage across the Pacific at 120mph, with computers doing all the flying, even full, real-time R/C capability via satellite link, with a "safety crew", of just 3 or 4 men aboard.

Doubt I'll live to see it, but it's entirely possible.

  • THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN A TORNADO SWEEPS FROM THE CLOUDS AND THE AIR SHIP GETS FUCKED UP AND SPINS LIKE A FUCKIN FAIR RIDE FROM HELL AND CREATES A BIG FUCKED UP HUMAN SMOOTHIE MADE OF BLOOD FLESH AND FLAPS OF SKIN.

  • @THESKULL1979 I lol'd you said a fucking human smoothie though XD

  • This probably would have been a reality if the Hindenburg never crashed.

  • @hop208 Actually this IS Hidenburg. Only this time in a new futuristic look. The idea seems to be the same.

Damn them politics, it would've been so awesome if we still had commercial airships.

  • Shuda called it the Leviathan

  • Looks like a giant sperm...

  • @CEOkiller you need to go back to your biology lessons, sperm have tiny heads and i very long, thin tall

  • 0:15 Covenant dropship on approach

  • does anyone see an Ori symbol from SG1?

  • Look like something a James Bond villain would live in.

  • This was conceived by a "designer".

That means, it will never be built. They aren't engineers. They just produce concepts that are never created.

  • Helium ?

  • Flying whale!!! Dont fly over JAPAN!!!

  • Did someone say UFO?

  • @123456wasp

    UFO doesnt mean Aliens.

  • what about wind?

  • Please call me when it's built. thanks

  • i bet thats the highest altitude youl ever get laid on

  • if that comes out people calling 911 saying they seen a ufo

  • Why not. It's like a cruise blimp. People will pay for that.

  • خيال جميل

  • I bet it burns 500 gallons of fuel per minute.

  • Yeah...and when my kid drops one of these things in the back yard with his BB gun...I dont want to hear all this Hamas finger pointing all over the news...A big balloon?....seriously?...This thing is going to go over like the Hindenburg...

  • is it a flying hotel? o_O

  • When I finally become a Bond villain...

  • yay another place we can take hookers to.

  • Hi folks, This design has nothing to do with the lighter than air industry as it is in reality just a method of advertising a companies computer graphic skills, which are fairly good. The manned cloud will only ever fly in the vitual world and if you are looking for a Helium sniffing laugh try 3w hybridblimp dott net for the world only lighter than air comedy web site. Regards JB ( 3w hybridairship dott net )

  • May be the Hilton family should buy one of this.

  • don't fly that anywhere near a 3rd world country..... something tells me that doesn't have armor and whats more fun than to see something giant fall out of the sky and explode?.... or just explode with all that helium.......

  • @smeagle9999 Why would a third world country want it to fall from the sky any more than any other country? Besides -helium doesn't burn.

  • @dharmangersch same reason they attack cruise ships- they want everything the residents have....... and just because it doesn't burn doesn't mean bullets wont make it crash

  • its a skywhale ! free willy !

  • it's missing the secondary hull and warp nacelles.

  • If we allow these to be built then soon they'll be converted into weapons platforms and it'll be the dirigible wars of 1982 all over again

  • Carrier has arrived

  • It's like the covenent ships from Halo... oh shit.

  • To futuristic for me, I want something that resembles the Hindenburg, something to compensate, not a fat chode airship coming from freaked out futuristic design company.

  • nonw u can make the same thinks like a hotel but IS A PLANE GOOD POINT FOR CINECE ¬¬

  • looks like my ex girlfriend

  • all fun and games till its snakes on a cloud

  • babe magnet

  • awesome ship

  • Wonder while

  • covenant ship ??

  • We are now in the northwest passage of Canada hovering at 300ft above a pod of orchas who seem to be aware of us. We are on an open air deck me enjoying a fine Havana cigar and my 3rd or 4th manhatten. The weather is superb and the views are magnificent, forested mountains all around. The sense of joy induced by our surroundings defies expression.

  • I get you ehswan-and I'm with you. Very cool.

  • Two words: Cloud City.

  • Thats what i pratcitly want to invest in, Because If Everything goes to shit.. ie Flooding of biblical scales or volcano and earth quakes or collapsing land, You would be safest in one of those above the clouds away from harm

  • @bloodreighn until you starve to death!

  • Looks like a flying whale

  • u know that dyson fan thing why dont they use that technology on planes it would look beast

  • Makes me think of "Floston Paradise" (sp) from the movie, "The Fifth Element".

  • i wish i could be involved in designing this kind of thing its a dream ive had ever since i was a kid. i dont belive its posible though because of dislexia and crappy math skills but ive always dreamed of 2 things in life arcitectural design and skydiving and base jumping.

  • Really nice. Elegant in fact.

  • It looks like a flying whale.

  • @dustbunnieboo You have a keen eye! Nothing gets by you, does it?

  • @dustbunnieboo Flying whale!!! Dont fly over JAPAN!!!

  • @dustbunnieboo I think its supposed to lol

  • @dustbunnieboo I was just thinking the same thing.

  • @dustbunnieboo

So that's the (in-)famous Moby Dick?

  • Elegant, but one problem: any structure that big will have to be near cylinder shape for structual stabiltiy. Unless you use a fine mesh of metallic glass fiber. Even then it will possibly be too brittle to withstand a wind strain wobble.

  • @veganfemale Failure of imagination! Giant airships did just fine nearly 100 years ago. Can you imagine how much better they could do now? Were we not such small people we would now be living in cities in the sky! We can do anything that we can imagine. Have courage and persevere. As to the structural cylindrical structure, you may well know more than I do.

  • @veganfemale actually, semi-rigid airships aren't inflated at all. they have a large and somewhat flexible framework inside which is strong enough to take the entire weight of the aircraft. attached to this framework are cells containing the lifting gas.

a structure this big is both feasible and sensible :P

as to wind strain, its hull form is specifically built to allow air to flow over it with the minimum of resistance. I don't think that'd be a problem :)

  • sadly this will blow up just like the hindenberg

  • @0neofthem

    How could it blow up?

  • @0neofthem no, the hindenburg was filled with explosive hydrogen, this would logically be filled with helium.

  • @0neofthem

It will be filled with helium not hydrogen.

  • @0neofthem

Sadly that was a dumb comment.

  • @veganfemale sadly my comment is better than yours

  • Hi folks, This is just a vitual world dream as they have never built an airship before and it would cost hundreds of millions to develop.

If you want to see more on modern airships, past, present and future see: airshipblimp dot kom or if you just want a helium sniffing laugh try airship dot me the worlds only lighter than air comedy site, with lots of funny pictures and U tube links fit for all the family. Regards Bond, James Bond. (Skyship blimp pilot in a View to a Kill)

  • @skyship007 A Single B1 bomber costs 2 thousand million dollars through out its "useful", read useless, lifespan), counting R&D and maintenance. These extreme, obscene aberrations of human ingenuity demonstrate, in a strange way the inexpressible beauty we could create. Majestic airships filling the skys with wonder and joy rather than dread.

  • @ehswan its just 2 billion buddy. u dont say one thousand hundred, u say one million. im sorry i had to say tht

  • they should make a huge one with a big nightclub on it

it should be called "The Mile High Club"

  • @Taaffecakez LOL Just Cause 2!

  • i mean Hindenburgh

  • @vinnyz3 hydrogen? vulnerable fibers? about over 50 years ago?

  • can someone say, hindin burgh

  • and to get out you have to skydive.... parachute optional.

  • @TechnoUnknown and I'm sure they did that with zeppelins in world war 2 huh? no mate... there are specific airports for airships, helicopters have helipads and planes have airfields so why wouldn't an airship have an airport? as far as i know, you have to drop a series of ropes down so that several machines or men can pull the airship down to the surface.

  • I swear that one day Airships will be one of the few forms of transport still avaliable since there may be fuel problems etc.

  • awesome xD

  • Dear All,

I have some questions about psychology:

    (1) Why do we love flying?

    (2) Why do we want to design new airship in this "jet-age"?

    (3) What is the enjoyment to fly airship as a pilot and as a passenger?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

  • @applesweeter

    1 person's thoughts on Q1:

    Flying =

…metaphor 4 freedom, but not just that; it IS freedom

…as close as u can get to being pure spirit, not corporeal; an "unearthly" phenom

…closer to God/heaven. An awe-some experience, in full meaning of the word, even sacred; like seeing magnificent landscape, puts u & yr prob's in perspective

…height = gtr view, sense of power; u look down (literally + figuratively) on others/world. That’s y, in buildings, upper floors cost more

  • @applesweeter

We Love because it's liberating and powerful, lets face it, we are drawn to power.... and chicks dig pilots.

Airships are beautiful and graceful and quieter. We also know how to make them NOT BLOW UP! Thats a good thing.

The enjoyment, I believe would come from the same reasons as why we design them still.

We all, in some way, shape or form like to do things that shouldnt be possible, but we have brains and the free will to do what pleases us.

  • TIS A FLYING WHALE ZOMG!

  • should name it johnna as in johnna and the whale since it swallowed them.

or mobie dick since its white

  • @amcabbott Jonah, not Johnna, learn to spell.

  • @vgyu8gf68 its only a matter of time.... its already getting hotter then usual..... I think we will most likely die from global warming and flooding... I dont think the earth is going to fall apart like in the movie though.

  • A "manned" hotel, how else are you gonna do it?

  • I'd stay in it. to make this even more appealing, you could potentially use any excess lifting power for transporting goods to destinations on your route, thus making some thing already relatively cheap to operate, even cheaper.

  • other hotel in the sky, like a cloud....

  • if we take this technology far enough we'll have cities in the sky

    and we should

  • I wish that I can experience the day when HUGE airships will rule the skies. :D

  • Nice place to make THE party of the year!

  • We might need these if the earth decides to fall apart like in the movie 2012......

  • On flight movie, "The Hindenburg" XD

  • Sky whale! :D

  • I like it, and don't like it at the same time.

The shape is ridiculous and uneeded.

Just make it the traditional, cigar-shaped design.

  • Actually, from what I can gather, it is needed for aerodynamic purposes. The cigar shape is also unstable and notoriously hard to control.

  • Oh the humanity!

  • this is my dream... need to do video where its in near by open space and family have a dinner while looking thru BIG window on earth like Yuri Gagarin...

DERIJABLES IS THE GREATEST IDEA OF THE WORLD!!!

  • Too much space, not enough people.

  • Thats awesome but what would happen if there was a small storm? it would send that ship flying and spinning all over the sky eventually making it crash...

  • thats also what could have hoovered over phoenix back in 1997, which is still unsolved.

  • Great but uh, what if I don't want to stay in the hotel all day?

  • cover that shit in nanosolar ink

  • omg its the whalebird!!!!

  • all this video needs is music :D

  • Gojira, Flying Whales. (French metal band) If I had the programs, hells yes.

  • Other gases used as lifting gases include argon, natural gas, even steam, as well as heated air. Argon has the advantage that it can be easily removed and stored in liquid state in bottles to reduce lift, then gasified and replaced to increase lift, so ballast not neceassary. Modern airships are hybrids, using a shape that creates lift with forward motion, lifting surfaces (wings) and thrusters that can direct their thrust downwards for liftoffs, and upwards to hold the ship on the ground.

  • The US refused to sell helium to the Nazis who were using the airship to brag about german supremacy. So it used hydrogen. The has always been a theory that it was destroyed by sabotage.

  • looks like a whale

  • That is cool! I would invest in this!

  • That's a pretty boat

  • how do regular blimps fly

  • Comment removed

  • I was looking for a way to play with a $billion or so. My 165 ft pleasure boat got boring and so I contracted Zeplin to build me an airship. Specs were: luxurious accommodations, open air decks, room for plenty of my friends. I now live in the sky. I named my airship Majestic and I live in inexpressible beauty.

  • @ehswan if you have your own airship, why are you wasting time on youtube? its SKY PIRATE TIME!!!

  • @wrylie188 It's where the creative fires are.

  • @ehswan 2 things 1. good imaginatio 2.that will never happen

  • 1 word. Hindenburg

  • 1 word: helium.

    Hint: it doesn't burn

  • helium is 2 times heavier than hydrogen unfortunately.

  • Still, composite carbon fiber/plastic materials are a tenth the weight of Aluminum alloys but x2 as strong. You don't need quite as much lift, and still have a superior product. There are ways around the lift issue without resorting to 'splosion gas.

  • maybe blend of hydrogen and helium may help also, lower density can be safer. Actually the best would be some nanotechnology balloon with skeleton that holds lower pressurized gas.

  • Although a fraction less inflammable too.

  • Helium is twice as heavy as hydrogen, but both are so much lighter than the air that heliums lifting abilty is only 8% less. So if the payload using H2 was 100 tons, it would be 92 tons with He4

  • Opps, not payload, but load it could lift, including structure.

  • Ah he'll this better happen before the oil wells go dry we Mite WW3

  • I wonder if this hotel could make a trek to the moon which is 240,000 miles away...with some tweaking of course...moon orbit trips would be cool entreprenueral enterprises..

  • balloons explode in high altitudes.

  • passenger area is too big to be lifted by that small balloon.

  • Not necessarily. Composite materials could quarter the weight .

  • Bad weather brought down your airships Macon and Akron because of your incompetence. Graf Zeppelin flew around the world numerous times without a single incident. The fall of Hindenburg was of course a sabotage. The amount of hate in comments on each video with airships only proves how intimidated you still are.

  • what about bad weather???

  • you need the towel..never leave home without the towel....and stick the babel fish in your ear to understand.....

    he he he

  • in the whales short time alive having been brought into existance by arthur dent it had very little time to get a feeling of the world.'

  • looks like a whale

  • @bladecppro10

Keep it away from the Japanese.....

  • is this real

  • WoW! What a beautiful craft. Very organic, nothing like the "clunkers" ya saw from last century. Bravo!

  • i would definitly love THAT!!!!!! :D:D:d:d

  • yea yeah thats what they always say..... first used the steamboat and everyone laugh BUT it WORK.... XXD

  • almost has the shape of a s whale/

  • Like a cruise ship in the air!!

  • So a cruise Airship.

  • Set it up with a solar powered electrical system for the giant electric motors, set up wind turbines for electrical power for all your modern electrial needs and your sky king never having to land..

    That would be cool.

Fix up a little mobile landing pad for small helicopters to come and go to the ground and you have a home in the sky.

Put in a nice work shop with all the modern tools & supplies for your maintance on your air ship. What do you think 50 million would do it?

    I want one

  • who wouldnt want one!!!!!

  • I would....LOL

Just think no more pests coming in the house any more, like mice and or lizzards, black widows, Those pest little ants we have down here in Arizonia..Not to mention the rattle snakes that wounder in from time to time..and most of all the pesty little neighbor kids....LOL

    Naaaa...I am just joking..

You would need lot of people aboard the ship to make it fun.(even kids )...LOL

But I grew up watching the George Jetson cartoons.

It would, thought ! have to be a BIG ass airship
