I LOVE this film . . . can watch it SO many times :) And I love ballet (or any dance really). I saw the musical on saturday, and its AMAZING! The only thing is that they should have ended it on Billy's massive leap at the end, the way the film did. I LOVE BILLY ELLIOT!!!!!

This film is just out of this world, the music, the story and the acting. Some of the village where this was filmed has fallen into decay after the pit finally closed in the early 90's. It never fails to put me in a good mood and I will never ever tire of watching this. Well done to Julie Walters for she was just outstanding

He's really English, but in this film he was portrayed as a boy from Durham. Not sure if he made his accent a little different to fit the role or not but he is definitely English.

Durham is in England, absolutely. There's different accents in different parts of England. Someone from north England sounds totally different from someone in south England.
