I have a question to anyone who can answer it. First of all, OnLive won't be out until Winter of 2009? Secondly, does that mean I made a huge mistake buying a PS3? Because I NEVER heard of OnLive until today, and I'm a little confused about the service.

For sure, but most of those top rated games are multi-platform like Fallout 3, GTA IV, Prototype. The only games that are for PC exclusive are like simulators and advanced strategy games like Total War. Just throw us a bone from time to time and thanks for the reply :)

At the moment, we? Or people with not too good internet can only play games with people in you're own country and other countries near you because high ping sucks. So why isn't this possible for onlive? Only in you're own state? I'm not sure about that one...
i read it in an article from game informer (not a geek) and they said to battle lag, you can only play with people in your own state. i hope this is wrong, though ;(
onlive its not gonna cost 50 bucks a year, maybe 50 a month. its a new company it does not have money, and to mantain a good service (servers) they need money so its gonna cost a lot just for the fact that they dont have that much money.

The ability to hook it up to a tv is cool, but people can already do that (if you have certain connectors). really the only reason i have steam right now is so that i can play counterstrike, but if this onlive thing takes off then hell ya i'm ganna get it.
onlive needs to decide if we pay the subscription and get the games for free or that the service is free and pay for the games cuz if they do both then if you stop paying the subsciption then all the game you bought are gone unless they still let you play the game you purchased but with no multiplayer i am so confused.

Rented Dead Space..... Great game but kind of stops being scary once I got the friggin flying saw gun. The 3 bosses were kind of repetitive, I didn't die but its pretty much SHOOT THE GIANT YELLOW SACKS. Still an amazing game

online is just something else on the side , another option for us gamers , but it will never be a threat to videogame consoles or even computers out there , even downloadable games isntead of the games on the disc , i prefer to own the game , sell it or trade it afterwards , onlive is a nice addition but will never be a threat . i might play it for the sake of it but ti will never replace my ps3 ever.

onLive developers actually are letting users check out the games before renting them. You will be able to watch some of the greatest players play through level before deciding if you would like to rent it.
I am really excited about seeing what this will roll into.
the onlive is looking for a persecution to the PC users. To be honest, i am really glad that this is coming up, because i do not really wanna buy consoles right now to play some games i have had in mind for a while.

Besides that, we can't get so dependent of so much stuff... in this case OnLive will depend on you having the internet service running..
and we know that with so much people running online those days, the internet is very unstable (it is much "safer" playing offline)
OnLive was made for people who doesn't have the videogame or a tuned-up computer to play those games - the developer said that.

online is just something else on the side , another option for us gamers , but it will never be a threat to videogame consoles or even computers out there , even downloadable games isntead of the games on the disc , i prefer to own the game , sell it or trade it afterwards , onlive is a nice addition but will never be a threat . i might play it for the sake of it but ti will never replace my ps3 ever.

the dsi sounds retarded , they shoud upgrade the nintendo to a whole new level , but instead two lame cameras and a bigger screen ? watch out dsi cuz the new psp is coming soon and is gonna have MTS support , touch screen and even , blue tooth support , the DS hasnt caught my attention yet , its just a gimmick for me , yes it brings the touch screen iwch is a nice feature , but once the new psp comes out ( a.k.a. psp 3g ) its gonna blow nintendo ds out the water

onlive sounds very exciting , they spent nearly 7 years to develop it , but l think that having a great audience it might eventually have some framerate issues , plus l'm confused if wether are we ever own the games , if so how would it work ? so u have to be online and stream the games from any pc , mac or even tv ? dounds very cool and lets hope it goes well , cuz l personally own a ps3 and sometimes i feel like playing a game from xbox 360 and so on , we want more news breaken down to details

onLive developers actually are letting users check out the games before renting them. You will be able to watch some of the greatest players play through level before deciding if you would like to rent it.
I am really excited about seeing what this will roll into.

the onlive is looking for a persecution to the PC users. To be honest, i am really glad that this is coming up, because i do not really wanna buy consoles right now to play some games i have had in mind for a while.

did you guys realize how POWERFUL the OnLIVE computers are?! they showed a demo of a lady and it looked real as fuck and it was totally real-time.
I can't even imagine what an OnLIVE exclusive game would look like.
