  • there was an M3 car mixed in there too!

  • My Aunt used to live just a Half a Mile from the Deer Park Station but was visible but now lives elsewhere now!!!

  • next stop brentwood

    whooa

  • there used to be a small station in the center of deer park, across from knights of columbus. now it's an mta service center or something.

  • @fezir: MAYBE THAT WAS THE DIX HILLS STATION!!! bc as god as my whitness i swear back in the 80's and 90's there was a dix hills station stop on the RONKONKOMA branch! i remember seeing it on the freakin schedule i swear. but everyone has told me no no no. so i guess im on drugs or something

  • they put the deer park station in the wrong spot, now all the people from Brentwood use the Deer Park station and people from Deer Park use the Whandanch station. and Whandanch station can get very crowded when people from two towns use it.

  • you got to hate the m1'1 and m3's and you got to love the m7's train 259.

  • nope.

  • @lirr56890 No you dont. I remember when the M7s came out there were a lot of complaints about how the seats were too uncomfortable and not as spacious and the mta said they were going to fix the problem by making the arm rests smaller somehow but they never did. they just let time pass and ppl got used to them

  • @lirr56890: and train 259 is which branch?.... to me the M7's are alright if you sit in the small sections of each car where you're sitting above the wheels and the springs and whatever. the ride gets a little bouncy etc

  • ive been in that exact spot lol

  • You Got To Love Them M-1's

  • @train259 daam right baby!

  • those we're M1's.. LIRR used to have blue stripes back in the day.

  • I saw a Metro-North Trainset in the consist.

  • no some LIRR m3's especially 9893-9894 still have the blue stripe

  • @moman1208: 9893-9894 were the 2 M3 cars that according to wikipedia, got an M7 makeover. i was on the M3 train to Ronkonkoma 3 weeks ago and those 2 cars were on the train but i didnt get to ride in them so idk if its true or not
