Day 1 - After the tutorial.

EVE's learning curve is beyond steep... the fact that gets you up to the big ships or complicated ones in time is all a part of learning... imagine you had them all accessable from day 1! you'll be lost in the chaos... im playing eve for 5 years now and im still learning things!

Ppl are talking about skills taking a long time, yeah, but you Can be a useful tackler in a couple of days and have loads of fun blowing ppl up. Get a Rifter/incursus and scram ppl in fleets, it's awesome fun and quite the rush.

Sorry to say but EvE is boring, I dont like WoW because its too easy but EvE is biased to new players thats why its a fail compared to other mmos. It doesn't give you any avenue of catching up with other players and I think this is where the game fails. It takes you a shitload of time before you get to the point your really allowed to do something useful which is about 6 months which is about $90 down the drain. :(

@Swizzik I agree completely with catching up part, but i never thought it was boring. I've done a couple hundreds of hours of raiding in WoW and none of them can match the kicks i get outta EVE. Maybe with the exception of having a well good arena team

@Xloub I meant it failed in the aspect of catching up with people. Learning and improvement curve is.... There are no words for it. When I mean useful I mean doing big things, we all know most people just make money by mining ore and grind till they get better ships from the get go.

@bournesax, I agree with TheEve Matrix, I've played WoW, I've played EVE, and honestly, WoW is a joke. EvE requires a brain, you have to plan your skills so you don't get destroyed every time you undock. Yeah theres a lot of grinding involved, but you never stop learning. WoW, in 3 days you can be as far as you can in your levelling. What's the fun in that? it's pointless, even the missions are stupid and less thought out than the ones in EvE.

@bournesax, Actually to WOW their is like no skill to it at all and no big point to it. for that matter as you can hit level 80 in 3 days if you know what your doing.

But in eve it actually takes time to train the skills. to be able to use different mods however im judgeing by your statement to keeper your just a noob that sits in highsec. join a 0.0 corp/allience then say how easy the battles are,

@Keeper69s i play eve when i dont want to think. i just undock, fly to some point, lock my enemies and press some buttons once and the rest goes automatically. phew that was fuck a lot of thinking unlike in wow where every spell, every strike u have to click by urself and think which one u should use in the right moment. eve noobs.

i rerember playing this ... i lost with my 1st ship against some 5 enemies or something .. in 6-10th mission and i couldt make it through them so i quited playing ... now i watched some video wich advised attribute thing and captain skill things ... now loading it again for 21 day trial .. hope i will make it this time :D ... this game just looks so beatyfull :D

The most important thing you can do is disable those annoying lines that crisscross the screen when you target things. Just clear the "show targeting crosshair" check box under the General Settings tab in the Esc menu.

All the controls and options in Eve makes it seem as though your really piloting a ship :D

pull the ovaview down and make some diffrent ovaview setting so it doesnt get swamped with crapa nd u need to scroll...turn off ppl in ur fleet, crop and alliance will clear it up so u can find the targets easyer

Hold down left CTRL and just left click targets in the overview. It's much faster than right click menu ^^
