  • where did u get ur hawk ???

  • trapped her in northern california

  • @manbirdexperiment trapped? did i just read that?wow

  • @leatherfacefan1974 yes licensed falconers are permitted to trap passage birds (aka immature). when you do so you drastically increase their chance of survival. The majority of first year hawks die in the wild. When a hawk survives its first year its chances of survival is much higher. Most falconers release their hawks back to the wild after a season or two.also whenever a hawk is flown free by a falconer it has the option to not return but chooses to due so

  • @paulfityo1 oh i see how nice of you =D

  • Thanks! She's a year older and just as beautiful! She caught over 60 jack rabbits in her 1st 2 seasons. Best of luck with your bird and good hawking!

  • Nice bird! I'm getting my apprentice license soon, and probably getting a RT.

  • I'm lucky enough to have red tailed hawks near my house- lots of tall evergreens in the yard and plenty of prey-rabbits and squirrels. Saw one the other day in a squirrels nest. Not sure if anybody was home

but they're the coolest thing to watch. Special thanks to my neighbors who all have bird feeders.

  • how difficult is looking after a hawk well? How much time does it demand? Is feed, hawk and equipment very expensive? Somebody explained flying-weight to me (at least I think it was called flying-weight) How difficult is that????

    cool video

  • Cool hawk - It's pretty awesome. What kind is it? Got any more video of your hawk because wow! How can you have

a hawk of your own? I Love the music you added too!

  • Well its a red-tailed hawk. To be able to own raptors like this hawk, you have to have a falconry lisences. I myself am an apprentice falconer. Falconry is a great sport that requires dedication, if you are into look online for other references about obtaining a compainion. The process takes a little while but it is worth it. Try to find a master falconer near you and talk to him about it
