I agree with this man. He speaks the truth here. Today's men have to bow down to gay and feminist stupidity that they have lost the true meaning of being men. Nowadays, it appears that if you treat a woman like dirt ,be mean and nasty to others, drive flashy cars and be a pompous fool, makes you a man. That was not the case more than 50 years ago. In those days and earlier, if you were polite, kind and generous that made you a man. Real men respect women and help them. Too bad that changed.
This video should be manditory viewing for all real catholic men out there. No more pandering to the "wimpy christian man" ideal that some in the church promote.
It makes me sad that this video sends the message that men should have to prove their masculinity by 'strength, power and boldness'. There are no magic formula to masculinity and to be honest simply being a man makes you a man.
There are always people who will judge others without accepting that masculinity can take different shapes and applying to this middevial ideal of manhood vastly limits the indivual.
Instead of focusing on being a good man whyjust not tfocus on being a good person,
@cherriesinacan If one is male, one cannot be a good person WITHOUT being a good man. Also, the traits of strength, power and boldness are essential for good male persons. If a man doesn't have those traits (and not necessarily physical versions of them, but those traits in some form) then he is not a good man and not a good person.
@cherriesinacan "and to be honest simply being a man makes you a man." No, that makes you male, there is a difference between being a man and being male. Being a man means standing up for what is right in the face of adversity regardless of the consequences, and stooping to help the lowest of the low and defenseless. You don't have to be 'macho' to do this, you have to be strong though.
I'd like the writers of 99% of all sitcoms these days to watch this video. Some of which are most likely men, ironically! It's sad that we have to resort to giving up our dignity and putting women on pedestals just to avoid being labeled misogynists.
Soooooooo true! I hate how much ridicule masculinity has received from the media lately. I would see a flying pig before seeing a father being portrayed in a positive light in a modern sitcom. I don't want to say we're "better", just that we're not worse. That's exactly what feminism originally stood for, before the movement was hijacked by misandrists.
@PersoAryanism What??? What are you watching, MTV? Jerry Springer? Or some other useless entertainment venue for mindless twits? It is always those who know the least about this country who make these broad and idiotic statements.
@Dix994 actually, he has a point...90% of viewers are tuning in to watch MTV, sitcoms, jerry springer, etc...Most people who watch TV do watch that kindof garbage.
The most masculine man ever to walk the face of this earth was Jesus Christ. He treated women, men, and children with dignity, love, and respect. Remember? "Let he that is without sin, cast the first stone. Let the little children come on to me.., and when discipline was necessary, he took a whip and drove the evil out"!
Where are the men who stand up for Christ in the womb? Where are the Bishops? Where are the daughters of God?
@icimblind As a Christian, I'd still have to disagree with your comment. I love Jesus, don't get me wrong, but the historicity there are others who treated people better.
@Rlangster007 If you think there is ANYONE who treated humanity better than the man WHO SAVED THEM FROM HELL you aren't a Christian. What is better treatment than giving them salvation? Everything Jesus did was geared towards saving their souls. Others may have not offended people or been more accepting of their flaws, but NO-ONE treated people better than Jesus. If you think they did, then you don't love Christ.
I wish I had been exposed to this when I was in my early teens. Now in my fifties I look back on a life with my wife `wearing the pants`and with me not taking leadership in anything. I didn`t want to upset the feminists, in spite of what my parents taught me.
I pray that in the time left I can change and help other men to be men.
speaking as a somewhat unconventional feminist (meaning women should have equal rights with men, not run over them!),with two grown daughters, I'd say this guy describes my husband to a T. You can be a self-aware woman and still give yourself totally to a strong, traditional man. but that's only if you're woman enough to handle a lifelong commitment and not wuss out . Are you with me, sisters?
Dr. Ray calls it Wuss Dad Syndrome. I call it SSS Spaghetti Spine Syndrome. Either way, it's pathetic! Grow some and get a backbone and LEAD your family, be the priest of the domestic church, and LOVE YOUR WIFE! That should solve about 95% of the problems on the homefront. I'm jus' sayin.......
I went to Burgos, Spain on 2007, and one of the most famous medieval Knights was borne there, Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar "The Cid" (10431099) he had one of the most popular swords ever built, "Tizona", read the story, is almost like Excalibur, the Spanish government still has that sword in the Museum of Burgos. The story of that knight is very interesting; he defended the Christian world against the Islam invasion in Western Europe.
Governments also prefer submissive males since this creates a situation where it becomes significantly easier to retain power in the midst of obedient males.
Saddly, I think there are too few real men in our Catholic heirarchy. Why did no bishop ever say to Kennedy, "Ted, we are so grateful for your stance on social issues and helping the poor. But you KNOW you are in grave error on abortion. Your persistant support for it has not only brought scandal to the church but has put your immortal soul in jeopardy. For the millions of unborn killed each year, you MUST publicly recant before you die, or I cannot promise you a proper Catholic funeral."

You raised a good point on how the perception of a male has been shamefully downgraded by feminists and their allies in the networks.
Not to mention that Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane is an outspoken atheist, so you can see the lies in that.
