I used to have this and I hated this part. Then i found out if you change the color scheme the game speed slows down making this part actually feasible. You just run ahead of the dog and jump every time he is coming down from his jump. At least that's how I remember it. It's been almost 10 years since i last played this.

It's running in Tandy mode, and apparently he chose not to slow down the emulation (I imagine if he isn't emulating DOS, it would be even faster on a modern computer. Older games weren't designed to cap things like that.) If you watch my video I show how to beat the dog without getting hurt once.

Hey dude, get dosbox! On this game's initial menu, choose VGA or EGA as video card and check out dosbox manual. I think that with f10 or f11 you could be able to reduce the speed as you want.

Oh, and one more thing! Run straight to the door and you'll sure end up alive.
