Incredible. I presume this gives you a better quality of playback than a traditional mechanical phonograph, not to mention ease of digitially converting the cylinders.
I made it. There are several phonograph makers out there. The phonograph makers pages is a good web site for tips on how to make these machines. This particular machine is listed on the site.
Para..., Are you playing both the Amberol and Blue Amberol with the same stylus? What sort of stylus are you using? Interesting clip and a very amazing phonograph. Thank you. Regards, J.
For four minute and indestructable cylinders I use a sapphire 78 stylus and for other two minute cylinders I use a glass ball. Of course I am open to suggestions. Regards P3

This is probably what record players would look like if cylinders had won out over disks :-]

Great!!!
The sound is so good and the pitch is stable but I think can further improve your machine to let it be able to connect modern amplifiers.

Did you make this or buy it? I like it and would not mind buying one if I could afford it. The sound is excellent.

Just think, if Edison Cylinders would of won the format war, all the phonographs up till the early 1980s would of looked like this.
