What real evidence is there that most of these OT prophecies were not written after the fact? The oldest known record of any biblical text is dated to around 150 B.C.

And what real evidence is there that Jesus fulfilled any prophecies? The NT wasn't even written while he was alive. The authors could have just inserted false stories to make it look like he was fulfilling prophecies. I'm not convinced.

@Visda58 No, the book of Daniel was written before that...Job is the oldest book in the Bible, dated about 5,000 or so yrs back. Jesus fulfilled the being born in Bethlehem, being sold for thirty pieces of silver, dieing on the cross and arriving on the scene before the destruction of the second temple as Daniel says etc.

It was well known in that day the events that happened in Jesus life...if it was a fabrication no one would have taken it seriously having seen and known Him.

There is this Bible prohecy: that the state of Israel will be reestablished. The fulfilment of this prophecy came about because hitler persecuted and murdered the jews in Europe.

The Jews being persecuted is part of what God said would happen when they left their land for sins etc they would often have a hard time...but Hitler is not the only reason they got their land...it was God's timing etc. Eventually during the great tribulation many more will die and it will lead to the kingdom of God on earth with peace for a thousand years....can can bring good out of the worst situations

This says that He will bring the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem. Meaning that they will have a captive war at hand being surrounded by all the nations. He will punish the nations for scattering many of the Israelites among the nations (for the times when they were persecuted and had to flee to various places).

Joel 3 is talking about the valley of Jehosaphat which coincides with Ezekiel 39. After the millenial reign of Messiah, Ezekiel 38 will take place, which is referenced in Revelation 20:7-8

Isaiah 14:1-2 tells us how the the nation of Israel will be gathered into their own land. Bottomline, there are no Israelites in the Land of Israel today, except for false messiah ben ammi and his fraudulent band.

Yea, I know a lady who is white and says she's Jewish. I believe that is possible regarding the many various strands of Judah. Those Rev. 2-3 is talking about as I see it, are those who say that they are religious Jews, but they don't know the Messiah Yeshua. There is enough genetic variation in our gene pool even among individuals that when given a different environment for thousands of years it's entirely possible to have so many races. Look at how a family can have 5 kids that are all different sizes and slightly different colors from the same parents. No, incest is only b/t close relatives, not extremely distant ones going back thousands of years.

The Adam and Eve story DOES promote incest unfortunately. Even after Adam and Eve, and the question of where the later children came, after all, only two brothers at first... we have the fact that Lot's daughters had sex with him after getting him drunk.

Also, the "variation of the gene pool" argument's a little silly. Is the idea that a population can change over time really so bad that you have to rationalize it that way?

No it doesn't promote incest. What is incest? Incest is something that is defined by God, not man. Who defines what sin is? God does. So, in the begining, yes, they had to interbreed to get humanity going. But it wasn't until later on that God said that incest was wrong. It never says that what they did was right...also, that was another case of keeping the lineage of his family going, something the torah allows for in certain situations. They lived a long time and had lots of kids.

Yes, it was ok with God at first to get humanity going. Now it's not b/c we don't need to do that. God is unchanging in His character and person. But God's laws apply differently in different situations. As sin increased on the earth. so too more commandments were added to guard against the sinful fallen nature.

No my friend I'm afraid not, it just seems to me to be the most plausable explanation as to why there are so many races of people around the world who don't change drastically enough after a long period in a different climate. We are all adaptable, but it doesn't change the appearance of our race, God's hand was definitely at play during this event for us to be different yet the same.

The Bible doesn't have to list everything that's happened in history, just the important things that He wanted to show dealing with His people.

hi moonbogg, you don't have to rely on the new testiment to fulfill all the old testiment prophecies. there are plenty that you can find in historical and archaeological sources. if you go down the list you will begin to realize how there wasn't a logical way in most cases that someone purposely could have fulfilled them, also realize that there are many authors, and there are lots of prophecies that were fulfilled by people who had no interest in doing so, like the filling in of the East Gate

The answer is that the Prophecies were written hundreds of years ago right? And the predict events that are recorded OUTSIDE of the Bible. That is to say, there is TONS of Historical Evidence tat exists outside the Bible that verify that these Prohecies (written 100s of years earlier) acrually came true! Cheers & God Bless!!

Those things are true but majority of people are spiritualy entangled with wrong philosophies. Only a handful of ppl actually believe on true GOD and respect him accordingly.
