i can get in with only 8 stars try grabbing the tree as low as you can by jumping if it dont work just keep on trying and then swim to the cannon it works but theres no yoshy on the ds game just 3 1cups and a wing cap thing you have to be mario for it to work though

In the DS version you already have yoshi at the beggining so you can not get up there and get infinate lives in the DS version. Hope this helped. :)

...well in a normal voice im played the game and i thought that too! i was like huh? why isent the cannoned opend so i thought wario would have a special screen where he destroyed the cannon gate with star power(and his big but) but eventually i learned that theres 150 in super mario 64 because of secret stars and that crap.... so if you havent done that yet then look for secret stars in unusuall areas!
