@Sweetcleopatraa Yeah... But those gymnasts were sent to Moscow at a really early age, so the origins didn't really matter to a certain point... After, there was no center as developped as round lake in Minsk or Kiev or Tashkent... :(
@espinaca79 She had many great performances, along with incredible routines, and a wonderful style and personality which she incorporated into all of her gymnastics, she was very underrated.
I'm curious whether people like the composition of this routine better than the one she did at the Olympics the same year...do you like the mount sequence better than the ff lo x 3?
Lysenko was a better gymnast than shannon miller, i personally think so..Well..Tatiana got the Gold..Anyways, I think her mount was difficult! Not a lot of gymnasts gamble like that when they open on the balance beam..hehehe
What an amazing routine! It has everything! Difficulty, orginality, grace and a now rarely seen stuck dismount! :-O I hope she was greatly rewarded for this routine.
The 1992 Worlds format was an event finals only competition. The competition began with a Preliminary round where 3 gymnasts per country were allowed to compete on each event. After this competition, the top 16 gymnasts on each event (2 gymnasts per country) qualified to compete in the Semi-Final round. The top 8 gymnasts from that round qualified into the Event Final round where the gymnasts competed for a medal.
Wow..that format..seems exhausting..i dunno really..but I think they followed a little of that format in the olympics where 3 gymnasts per country will compete for the team competition or something like that..
I hate that USSR break up ended top gymnasts from Ukraine and BLR. They were just perfect gymnasts.

Tatiana's lines couldn't be any better on this apparatus... so incredibly graceful and elegant. She really was a master of this event.
