  • That's a nice video

  • Thanks heaps, you were a good help :)

  • Have to give you a low rating on this one. All you do is demonstrate how to properly put on a pair of ski boots, which is very elementary, and only absolute beginners can benefit from. This has nothing to do with how to actually fit a newly acquired fresh pair of ski boots. You failed to mention how much toe room one should have in the toe box. How long to wear your ski boots at home or in the store to determine if you have the right fit, how to heat mold and how to adjust canting. No help.

  • turn up your voice please.

  • What about adjusting the canting? How's that done?

  • @chillywit

Don't do it yourself, take your boots into a dealer for them to do it. I work at a ski shop in the UK; the number of people who've faffed about with their canting got it completely wrong, and bought them in bitching about it to us is unreal. Canting doesn't need adjusting unless you're very knock-kneed or bow-legged; even then, custom footbeds will normally solve the problem if you don't have any, as the knees can fall out of line due to pronation/supination of the foot.
