I personally am a Green Party member. I joined not because I am a mild mannered, middle-class enviromentalist or any of the other myths that surround the modern party. I joined because I consider them the only legitimate force on the left in this country. They are also the only party with records (in the EU) of taking on big business, through launching investigations into various aspects of them to blocking planning pemission to stop cities becoming Tescopolies.

I think it would be good for democracy if there were a leader of the opposition who had the courage to ask the Prime Minister questions on policy. He's scared of the people hearing the answers. David Cameron has a nerve. He mocked Gordon Brown for not calling an election last year but was shit scared before hand that Gordon Brown might call that election. He now and for a while has insisted that Gordon Brown should call an election because he knows he will win it but he conveniently forgets to mention that however low Labour's populariity is, Labour still in fact has the right to continue in government until the summer of 2010. As long as Labour MPs vote together they have power.
As bad as Labour is at the moment, an extra early year of the Conservatives is the last thing we need right now. So I hope Gordon Brown fights on until the summer of 2010. I say this because the Conservatives want to take credit for the coming recovery, and because they are opportunitist power mongers just like the other parties. I personally am a Green Party member. I joined not because I am a mild mannered, middle-class enviromentalist or any of the other myths that surround the modern party. I joined because I consider them the only legitimate force on the left in this country. They are also the only party with records (in the EU) of taking on big business, through launching investigations into various aspects of them to blocking planning pemission to stop cities becoming Tescopolies.

Because I was born here. So yes it does give me a status over someone given a passport. Vice versa in their country. I couldn't go to Pakistan and become a Pakistani. I could only become civically Pakistani-taking out citizenship. I would still be British by birth however.

You say that we are spending all of our money on their benefits, and you state that the subject of debate is illegal immigrants, so do illegals now receive benefits? Is this a new scheme?
What this boils down to is you being xenophobic, since nobody who is not legally a citizen already could receive said benefits. So unless they are second generation british citizens or married into british citizens they can't be claiming benefits.em.

He now and for a while has insisted that Gordon Brown should call an election because he knows he will win it but he conveniently forgets to mention that however low Labour's populariity is, Labour still in fact has the right to continue in government until the summer of 2010. As long as Labour MPs vote together they have power.

As bad as Labour is at the moment, an extra early year of the Conservatives is the last thing we need right now. So I hope Gordon Brown fights on until the summer of 2010. I say this because the Conservatives want to take credit for the coming recovery, and because they are opportunitist power mongers just like the other parties. Also, we don't need the turmoil of an election now so that's another reason why Labour should make the most of their electoral mandate that the country gave it.

At the time David Cameron was shitting himself that Gordon Brown would call an election. And David Cameron had the audacity to ridicule Gordon Brown for not calling that election.
