@tuxthezerg If the hive dies and the overlord is told to spread creep before the hive dies it still does so. The reason the spire didn't get creep was because the overlord was 1 pixel or so away from the edge, overlords don't drop creep over space.

Destiny made in error in proxying his spire, its not a testament to zerg being underpowered. There are two reasons that a zerg won't be able to supply creep to their buildings. 1.) Is an error 2.) You're goddamn terrible and shouldn't be playing starcraft. Neither reason should involve retarded balance "discussions"

This isn't really a significant tactical problem, though. Zerg builds everything from the hatch, so the main reason they proxy is to hide tech. If they kill or chase off the overlord supplying creep, they've seen the building anyway, so the main benefit of proxying it has been lost regardless. If you don't want to lose the building, put it in your base; proxyied tech SHOULD carry its own risks. Terrans can proxy easier, but they can't really hide tech in general thanks to addons.

Continued - Addons almost require them to keep their tech on display in the main base, not to mention they hamper unit production during their construction, whereas Z and P can produce units continuously even while teching. Every race has its own wrinkles to consider while trying to hide tech, from Terran generally not being able to, to Zerg needing creep, to Protoss needing pylons. None of them can really be said to be "the same" as another, but they all have pros and cons.
