Michael seems a bit off here. Just... I don't know how he just does. He's always moving. Like swaying back and forth. And his little speech with Lionel was, for Michael, a bit strange. He seems a bit in his own world here and... And ... I don't know just not particularly right.

Also, fun fact about this award show: MJ had hired a hysteric fan to break through backstage security and run onto the stage in tears screaming to grab Michael. You can see MJ looking around waiting for her arrival. However, she wasn't able to break through security.

@crazy4corbinbleux I'm not sure if you mean who or why, I don't know who it was, just some crazy fan who agreed to do it for money. It explains in J. Randy Taraborrelli's book MJ magic and the madness, he just wanted to hype himself up, come across as an even larger than life figure. Kind of like Elvis and the Beatles would pay girls to cry and scream for them in crowds, in turn it would get a bunch of other girls to scream and cry even louder for them. Same kind of thing.

@BRUNOMARSLOOVERR My point was that at the time people were starting to notice Michael's change in appearance and you can even see when he speaks the reactions from the crowd, ken kraigen included, look very disturbed and confused. I'm not saying Michael looks ugly or anything, just that this is one of the first times in history that someone has noticeable changed their appearance with plastic surgery, and people were witnessing it first hand during this show.
