  • When I was little, I'd always have to fast forward the parts with the G'Mork. He FREAKED me out!!!

  • Gmork: leading bad guy in all my childhood nightmares.

  • yo this wolf fucked me up when i was young...

  • This still scares the hell out of me

  • this scared the hell out of me when i was a kid

  • It scared me too! With his weird moving nose and teeth.. and the sfinxes were scary too!

  • This...Motherfuckin...wolf scared the shit outta me when i was a kid.

  • Ok, at what point in the movie did the wolf become "Basil Exposition"? lol! He knows everything! Except.....what the kid he is hunting looks like or smells like apparently because he doesnt recognize him. Worst.....assassin.....ever.....

  • The hope and courage of childhood meets the cynicism and pessimism of adulthood. This is the struggle we all endure at times. Most of us manage to find a safe place to walk between the two, but some of us must pit Atreu agaisnt Gmork.

  • I hear WB is rebooting this franchise. Hopefully, they get some kids who can act a little better.

  • @bobojack83 when you're a kid you don't really mind bad acting... but if they reboot it all the anoraks WILL come out and criticize it anyway.

  • The truth is the nothing plauges our society these days and all of us are gmork in some way.

  • Those eyes. The give me the total creeps. I will never be able to like wolfes again.

  • Unfortunately, Gmork's words became too real in this day...The Nothin' wins

  • i watched the movie in cinema back then and i haven't forgotten the name "gmork" ever after ^^

  • this scene is so terrifying, its awesome. G'mork was an all too real allegory.

  • @scorpion09ish Thank you so much, I FINALLY get it . The Nothing is the Federal Reserve and Atrayu (however you spell it) is Ron Paul. Thank you sincerely.

  • When I was a little boy, I saw this movie on vacation. Oddly, Gmork looked more like a big black bear with gnarling teeth rather than a wolf to me. Also, besides looking really realistic, it didn't scare me at all.

BTW, if they make a remake of TNES, who wants this animatronic back to the job?

  • man, i remember when i was little thinking that the painting was growling and came to life lol

  • G'Mork: coolest movie villan ever! He should go into politics.

  • ... and this is why i never saw big black dogs the same again. holy shit O_O

  • Gmork doesnt listen to jay-z

  • @scorpion09ish Don't worry, we're all star dust. Life is temporary, death is part of nature.

One day all life on this planet will end, be it by asteroid impact, global warm, big crunch, big rip, or whatever.

Accept this fact and you'll have a happier life. Happiness is what matters. (buddhist philosophy)

  • @scorpion09ish So True, creepy,

  • @Top5trainer I second that....

  • count on the bad guy to have the clearest perception of what is going on. It is funny, out of all of the characters in the movie Gmork is the only one that actually gives the hero any information to go by

  • So freaking creepy how G'mork is just breathing and staring hungrily at Atreyu.

  • The boy "almost lost an eye during the fight-scene versus Gmork. One of the claws on his giant paws poked him in the face. The robot was also so heavy that he lost his breath as well when he was hit to the ground by it. They only made one shot due to the risk that he would get seriously wounded. " (IMDB Movie Database)

  • hes constantly pissed off

  • Gmork said make perfect sense what he is taking about that people with no hope are E-Z to control and wo ever has the contral has the power, that is very scary to know.

  • Yeah, this villan scared me silly when I was little! Anyone familiar with Meelina from Mortal Combat? I Imagined that the Gmork was in human muscular form, and he was having sex with her!

  • @namsivad "K"ombat.

  • I was more scared of Falcor than I was of Gmork.

  • I remember seeing this when I was seven, thanks for the posting of the scene that scared the holy shit out of me

  • 2:21 LIAR -- the way of the damned is NOT marked by wolf urin, this is a FALSEHOOD--!-- i think this lap top i'm using right now is why Best-buy is named what it is -- the lightning photos? I voted. Check this out = COLLIN WON ALREADY. STOP YOUR FEAR/ANGER whoredum --!-- --

  • It's not till I've watched this again that I understand this scene and what this movie is all about.

  • I have always liked Gmork for his Green Glowing Eyes and when I was a kid people in school thought I was crazy because he did not give me nightmares

  • Great wolf, I'd like to do a costume of him. The only thing I never understood was why he had snake eyes?

  • @FightingDreamsPro He´s a beast, not just a speaking wolve :)

  • @FightingDreamsPro the book explains that he isnt really a wolf and isnt even from fantasia or earth, hes a man on earth and a wolf form in fantasia, hes really just a creature or demon of sorts from an inbetween realm and hates the others for having their own world to live in so he joins with the nothing, so his eyes and size and speech are different from real wolves.

  • I loved the movie but...something happened it really bothered me...i mean it scared the crap out of me and almost destroyed my life...when i found out that kid was played by a boy...this whole time i was like man that is one cute girl....but now...*throws up*

  • @classicblue ..y? if you think hes cute go for it :D never know untill youve tried it eeh?!

  • awful technology employed in this film haha time period or not

  • @hiimnevin

You really have no idea of what you're talking about.Gmork is real, and that is a great acomplishment, even for TODAY standards.

  • "People who have no hopes.. are easy to control.. and whoever has the control... has the power." --- Still true to this day...

  • By the way, why did you show this on youtube. I hate this.

  • Oh shit, The Gmork scene was scare a fuck. When I was a kid and i watch that movie, I shit myselve and told myelf, never watch this fucking movie ever again and then later, I watch it again and I even got more scare. Got me nightmares. Like Freddy Krueger. He is better.

  • Gmork was the scarriest part of "The Neverending Story", he gave me nightmares when i was little.

  • Idk what's creepier.... the painting or G'mork himself!

  • i loved this character!

  • 0:27

It stills creep me out! :s

  • God this whole movie scared the shit out of me when I was little.

  • He wouldn't say no to a bowl of Winalot Prime though.

  • I still say, the gmork was the best scary creation of the 80's....maybe even the 20th century. And they did it back in the days of animatronics....no CGI crap looks that scary!

  • @retluoc the Lord of Darkness from Ridley Scotts 'Legend'?

  • @retluoc this wolf scared the shit out of me when i was like 5....im 18 now...it still scares me omg

  • SICK SHIT

  • Always remember: "People who have no hopes are easy to control, and whoever has the control has the power!" So next time you witness a dictator or tyrant rising to power in any part of this World, just say repeat this line to yourself; it will remind you of the kinds of people that would support such an evil despot.

  • One of the SCARIEST Devil Dogs that I have ever witnessed. G'mork had me looking over my shoulders for YEARS, man. Even today, while being almost 40 years old, I still occasionally get nightmares about this creature and some of those other Hell Hounds, like Ceberus, the 3-headed Guardian of the Gates of Hell Himself.

  • i was sent to kill the only one who could have stopped--

  • People who have no hopes, are easy to control. Best line in this movie

  • Hes so cute xD

  • see this is why other countries hate us. We are easily influenced; easily persuaded. We need to show some fuckin backbone!

  • this part was so effin creepy. i hated it when it got darker and his eyes glowed greener

  • @canadianbaconbro Yes, exactly! The dude who made him was a hell of a sick mothefucker :D

  • gmork is of darkness and hates anything white.

  • 2:21 lmao

  • They have this on Blu-Ray in Wall-mart. I'm sooo getting it with my next pay check.

  • @scorpion09ish Just to top it off, "Every part, every creature is a piece of the dreams and hopes of mankind." So our subconscious even created a gigantic hell-hound that willingly sided with infinite destruction just to watch everything collapse before it died.

  • The Eighties: a wonderful time when even kids' movies could cause people to experience horrible nightmares of wolves lunging at their faces for the rest of their lives. I know I did D:

  • @Tryzon I couldn't go to sleep!!! XD

  • @Tryzon You too?

  • Gmork definitely creeped me out as a kid. I have a feeling they pulled pranks on the cast and crew with that thing lol.

  • This scene did scare the hell out of me. but i don't think it ever stuck with me. I would remember it and be like, holy crap!

  • Illuminati much?

  • Watching this now, l'm wondering why l wasn't terrified as a child when l saw this. ln fact l had an odd fascination with it.

  • he was scary, but he was wise

  • Who did Gmork's voice?

  • @kingsnake23 Alan Oppenheimer

  • gmork was a badass.

  • this scene STILL terrifies me.....and im 25.....laugh if you want

  • @werdessej i dont like it as well, it still gives me the chills :S

  • @werdessej I won't laugh, but you're so gay.

  • Funny, when I watched this as a kid I always thought he said:

    "My name... is the warg."

  • I'm 25 years old now, and this still freaks me out.

  • scared the everloving crap out of me as a kid

  • Question: Were G'mork and Falcor done using the same robotic puppetry model?

  • I love the move and this is a really nice quality.

  • Sure wouldn't want to run into gmork at nighttime, scary! Then again, he's scary during the daytime too!Yikes!,lol.

  • god i was scared shitless as a kid watching this. had nightmares for years!

  • @immortalSweetheart It's been around 15 years since I've seen this film, even now the eyes of Gmork when he widens them sends a chill down my spine.

  • @immortalSweetheart

Yes, same with me. It took me years to get over this :D

Now i´m almost 30 and i´m still terrified by the wolf.

  • @immortalSweetheart Me too, but you know, few things in this movie didn't scare me shitless.

  • @immortalSweetheart holy shit foreals? my mom toll me when i was 6 i screamed likka bitch when i saw this, thts crazy

  • That shit was scary as fuck!

  • @Shadowlit001 TELL ME ABOUT IT THIS MOVIE SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME

  • i watched this yesterday and it still scare me ;) thats how you know its a good movie

  • 24 years old and this scene still gives me nightmares

  • not the quality like we have today, but it still scares us kids that saw this when we were young, now thats talent

  • i fear this scene, and im 17 years old.. i have nightmares about this, the 2nd and 3rd movies are a joke...

  • The boy resembles rafa nadal the tennis player!

  • Pause on 1:47 and tell me that's not a messed-up image.

  • @MichaelVoz that looks like my sister when she is pissed off lol

  • @orkneymist lol, I hope ur laughing because you clearly recognise it was tongue in cheek though!

  • thumbs up if that growl at 0:25 still sends a chill down your spine?

  • Awwwwwwwww hes such a cute puppy!

  • @jediman672 Really? i thought they used a real wolf for this scene! the likeness is uncanny truley.

  • If the devil exists i think he would say somthing just like that.

  • im a adult since i watched this...it still scares me

  • fucking GMORK!

  • its interesting how falcor and gmork are done by the same voice actor

  • i hope they don't remake this movie, it's too special for a lot of people, including me.

  • 1:47

    Wolf: D:<

    Me: :'(

  • I still screamed.

  • Another name for this video could be Atheism 101.

  • @petrus4 whats this got to do with atheism?

  • I ALMOST want them to remake this movie. But that wolf has already fucked up my childhood...why bestow that on another generation

  • there the most important message to the world in this scene must listen very good 2.33 begins of the message !

  • Whoever has the control has the power? Great tautology genius. And where will you sleep if The Nothing consumes all? Dumb wolf and dumb screenwriting. Does not compute.

  • @cjwright79 Well, since you're one to judge GOOD screen writing, then YOU must also be a Professional Screenwriter YOURSELF huh? I look forward to seeing your next movie when it hits the Theaters in the future since your obviously someone who TALKS like he can make a BETTER FILM.

What's your better film gonna be called anyway?

    Don't worry I'll wait....

  • Oh my fuck.... I paused it at 1:47 to look at comments and shit! Scariest possible place to pause! (Right after the lightning)

  • The first time I saw this scene I was 4, and fuck, it scared the shit out of me more then any other thing as ever done in my entirial life. I started to see this fucking wolf everywhere even in the toilet! When I finally decided to rewatch this movie i was 17 and I made it but with a damn creepy sensation all over me. Even now that I'm used to watch even horror movies, when they have werewolfs (well, good-made werewolfs) it becomes really difficoult for me to watch and don't get a scare.

  • Holy shit i just saw this 4 the first time in like 7 years and still tried 2 not have a heart attack and shit my self...... I failed.

  • Judging by how many children that damn wolf thing terrified, I think whoever made it must not be a man, but Necrolac, Lord of Nightmares.

  • I alway thought as a kid that was Master Splinter.

  • @GojiJuicePower HOLY SHIT!

  • A Nazgul is looking for his dog.

  • @PorcelainDreamsx

You're a moron. Politics springs from Religion. What do you think this story is about!?

    PHILOSOPHY YOU MORON!

Philosophy is all encompasing. It holds the basic logic for religion, politics, and everything else.

  • That wolf should be named Gmork the Wise. Seriously, what there was someone you ran into who said your world is the creation of alien fantasy? How could someone grasp that?! Although, if i ran into someone as scary as this dog, I think I'd die of a heart attack on the spot o____0

  • i would love to see a fight between that and the american werewolf in london two best animatronic werewolves of all time!!

  • "People who have no hopes are easy to control."

    The Nothing as nihilism.

This is a kids movie? Some adults should be watching.

  • @technologic21 i was thinking the exact same thing but you already wrote it lol :)

  • @technologic21 I would replace the word "hopes" with "values". It's people who don't care about anything who are easy to control, but hopes alone are too vague and imply a kind of helplessness. True values are accomplished through hard work, and dedication. Dreams are an important factor in this, but dreams alone don't do anything either.

  • @RealLiveDebates

I think a Nazgul has lost its dog.

  • @technologic21 Psh. a Nazgul would be Gmork's bitch.

  • @RealLiveDebates Good Call. I would replace those two words too

  • @technologic21 Today's adults DID watch this when they were kids. And nothing of value was learned.

  • Im officially Scarred to death.

  • i want the drugs that gmork is on

  • 1:24 Gmork looks like he's looking at me

  • Now who's afraid of the big bad wolf BITCH!

  • Funny thing. I always loved Gmork but I was really scared of Morla -.-"

  • I think that ayn rand, ron paul, alex jones, glenn beck, fox news, sarah palin and rush limbaugh are all as tools as G'mork. Their core philosophy varies somewhat but their ideas keep people afraid, ignorant, warlike, xenophobic and weak divided individualist to be ruled. The true freedom is independence from rulers who control armies and rulers owns means of production this goal can newer be accomplished from their selfish point of view. And we should not forget traitors like barack obama.

  • @SystemLordNemo You're a retard.

  • Comment removed

  • @Leatherbubba That was a retarded counter argument my brainwashed friend! :(

  • @SystemLordNemo How dare you defy me?

  • @Leatherbubba ...oops... ... zzzkkhhh... ... - user has left the building have a nice day-

  • @SystemLordNemo How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?

  • @Leatherbubba I do... ...I don't... I'DON'T! Who the hell.. WHY on the earth... WHYYYYYY ...agh... ...as many as is needed?

  • @SystemLordNemo Don't try to bastardise this masterpiece into a leftwing parable. It's utterly ridiculous. All the smear words you accuse them with are meaningless. These ppl are not any more "warlike" than democrats, and xenophobia (& other idiotic leftwing mudslinging like 'racist') is in the eye of the beholder.

If you wanted to twist it to suit your own purposes you could also ascribe Gmork to the anti-religious left, who hope to agnosticise the ppl into having no dreams or higher purpose.

  • @JiminyKracker "Don't try to bastardise this masterpiece into a leftwing parable. It's utterly ridiculous." I don't want to claim that YOU should see it that way but that is my perspective remember the first words was "i think" okay? "These ppl are not any more "warlike" than democrats" I'm not democrat nor i will ever be I'm libertarian socialist or anarchist i have some sympathies to politicians that are not corrupted. In my opinion religion is somewhat nightmare just think hell for a moment.

  • @SystemLordNemo ok, since it is all one persons opinion, I THINK that Atreyu really represents Hitler, and Fantasia is the falling Reich, and Artex is the NSDAP which succumbed to the swamps of sadness (communism).

SystemLordNemo is Morla, who pretends to be all-wise, but really "just doesn't know". But still chooses to dwell in the swamps of sadness ("socialism") for whatever reason floats his boat...

  • @JiminyKracker :) No worries it's just the life we all have opinions but i like you to now what i mean "libertarian socialist": it is demand of self ownership or ownership of necessary means of production either individually or as group(direct constitutional(to protect individuals from group) democracy) and power to operate market where all are equal enough. This is all to counter "work for owner or starve". So this is all about theory of freedom and justice my "Phantásien" if you like.

  • @SystemLordNemo "it is demand of self ownership or ownership of necessary means of production" Maybe i should explain that little better: Everybody should be given their necessary means of production(upkeep as a infant, school as young person, the means of production as a adult and upkeep as older person) from the birth the wealth for this will be generated from Inheritance tax(because money and ownership is treated as power there will be limits of transforming those things) and donations.

  • @SystemLordNemo I'm already libertarian. Maybe Libertarian Nationalist. Or even Libertarian National Socialist ;)

No prob with what your saying, but as long as their is enough capitalism permitted to be able to progress, to achieve more. People won't work hard enough for the common good, there has to be an incentive. That's why countries that embraced stricter forms of Socialism became backwards, whilst the West continued to progress

  • @JiminyKracker

    In other words....in oxy-moronic terms...Socialism is Anti-Social.

Dude, you're an idiot. Once government owns the means of production, it will never give it back. It doesn't have to.

Communism is a red herring. What you are submitting to is also a red herring.

Honestly...people just need to not be stupid.

  • @LoneIndividual Dude wtf are you on about? I ain't a Socialist, esp in the Marxist sense.

  • @JiminyKracker

    So you're a useful idiot?

  • @LoneIndividual Who ever said I'm useful? lol

  • @JiminyKracker

    lol

    You crack me up

  • @LoneIndividual Are you seriously arguing politics on this video?

Honestly, people just need to not be stupid.

  • @JiminyKracker "All the smear words you accuse them with are meaningless" Maybe i should specify my claims (ayn rand, ron paul = weak divided individualist to be ruled (ron paul is antiwar dogmatic and honest) ), (alex jones = afraid and ignorant(the guy spreads false information but maybe he is honest)), (glenn beck, fox news, sarah palin and rush limbaugh, THE tools, afraid, ignorant, warlike, xenophobic and weak divided individualist to be ruled).

  • @JiminyKracker "These ppl are not any more "warlike" than democrats, and xenophobia (& other idiotic leftwing mudslinging like 'racist') is in the eye of the beholder" The problem is i can't find many democrats that don't play politics101 first they promise moon from the sky and next thing you know they will do all what their corporate masters tells to them. For example obama promised to fix voting system and now corporations can spend even more than before to elections.

  • Atreyu sure did have the balls to stand against that lion-sized demonic wolf. Even though he was a little bit afraid, he sure had it in him.

Also I've learned that not having fear isn't brave. It's full hardy. Any real hero knows fear. The difference is, is that the hero masters his own fear. Only then, can he become a true hero.

  • It definately was a computerized puppet. According to the IMDB, a puppeteer had to use controls to make Gmork look like he was talking. Just Jim Henson's Creature Shop provided for the Ninja Turtles. Plus, Noah Hathaway almost lost an eye during the fight with Gmork when claws on his paw poked him in the face, and the the robot was so heavy, Hathaway was almost out of breath.

  • @lawofficers Good thing they didn't push their luck and try again.

  • #LOVE. That is all. ;)

  • Wow, even though he never moves, he's still intimidating. That's hard to pull off, I must admit.

  • Yeah. I agree.

By the way... he said the Nothing is the emptiness that's left. Like a despair destroying Fantasia. The emptiness that's left of what? And what is a despair also?

  • its a puppet? no fucking way?! dumbshits.

this scared the fuck out of me as a kid :P

  • oh and btw retarded christians are to weak and stupid to understand what nihilism is really about. gmork is also the spirit of cardinal ratzinger and ron paul.

  • gmork is the spirit of ayn rand.

  • G'morks scene is the best part of this movie. G'mork rules! "who are you, really?" he asks. heeheeheehee ^_^

  • i hate all the wolfs orgasm facial expressions

  • badass.
