Israel is doing what it should have done long ago. It's liberating Palestinians from the fanatical control of Hamas.

If Israel plays it wisely, it should be able to dismantle Hamas and gradually let the PA control Gaza. Israel will then be able to open up the border crossings and peace talks will be able to continue.

Israel has done one mistake in the past, which was to OCCUPY the territory. However, since even the Fatah party at the time refused to recognise it's right to exist, there was no way peace could be achieved.

Ever since the death of Arafat, things have changed. Israel must do the dirty work that fatah can't.

The only thing I agree with is that, since the death of Arafat,hope for Peace, became little to none. But this way has been tried, and tried, and tried. It has not worked, it will never work. Personally, I would like to see the 'ref' call the game. Luv, all. Just for starters, it's land, ground, dirt. Everything they say they value, they are/have destroyed. History that leads the charge, is trampled beneath it's own hooves, if it fails to learn from it's mistakes. This is a failure to learn, or to grow. Too many rebels involved, too many terrorists. Too much religious blood shed. I agree fully that Hamas needs to be dealt with, but not like this.

the resort to violence is unfortunate but there is no other way. All other ways have been tried before. Economic restraint, talks, EVERYTHING I'm telling you. Israel even tried to do it's best to make the people of Gaza go againt their own government which hasn't worked either.

Israel has been taking rocket fire for the past 3 years now. For the past 3 years thousands of israeli citizens were living in fear and sleeping under daily rocket fire.

In 20 years, everything will be back to normal.

Normal. I know I don't live there, but normal for that area is war/conflict/blood shed. That is how it has been for thousands of years. Allies become enemies, and enemies allies. Always, religion leads. Some of the citizens there, are trying new ways. And they are killed for their efforts. The newer generations could do better, if the older ones would allow them, and the religious leaders would shut the fk up. But they won't.
