She says that privacy is the cornerstone of Roe v. Wade, which is true. However, she says that to go against what Palin's views are. However, privacy is not an issue for Palin or other Pro-Life thinkers. If a law was passed, centered on privacy, that a person had the right to beat their spouse/kids in private, most logical people wouldn't consider privacy an important factor in the discussion.
It's like when you're in school for debate. And this one kid gets up an got all his points in order and is calm and has really well thought out opinions and evidence to back it up. Then the more popular kid who probably needed to take the class to pass speaks and everything he/she says ends in "cool" and "Blankity blank school rules!". In a confederacy, the power resides within the states. In a federalist system, there is a balance between the two. So saying that she is a federalist is saying that she wants a greater balance of power between the states and the federal government.

I don't know why either side didn't mention this famous court decision which is Griswold v. Connecticut. The court upheld the right of privacy in which in my opinion the 5th and 9th Amendment infer of the right of privacy. The Supreme Court hasn't overturned that case. so the right of privacy cannot be violated unless you violated a law and they have enough evidence that you cannot use the 5th if you don't want to answer. Another court decision that I don't agree upon is Texas v. Johnson.

However, privacy is not an issue for Palin or other Pro-Life thinkers. If a law was passed, centered on privacy, that a person had the right to beat their spouse/kids in private, most logical people wouldn't consider privacy an important factor in the discussion.

@JediKenobix I think Sarah is referring to the modern definition of a federalist. In a unitarian system of government, most or all of the power resides within the federal government. In a confederacy, the power resides within the states. In a federalist system, there is a balance between the two. So saying that she is a federalist is saying that she wants a greater balance of power between the states and the federal government.
But I still don't like her very much.

I don't know why either side didn't mention this famous court decision which is Griswold v. Connecticut. The court upheld the right of privacy in which in my opinion the 5th and 9th Amendment infer of the right of privacy. The Supreme Court hasn't overturned that case. so the right of privacy cannot be violated unless you violated a law and they have enough evidence that you cannot use the 5th if you don't want to answer. Another court decision that I don't agree upon is Texas v. Johnson.

Huh, Biden didn't name Dred Scott either. I guess women are only REAL women if you can control what they think. If you have your own opinion, then you must not be a real woman. You must believe what the Left says you as a woman should believe or else you can't possibly be a woman. No having independent thoughts or ideas, Sarah. The point is that she directly quoted the Dred Scott issue days before this interview, then couldn't even think of it again. It has nothing to do with her gender, but her intelligent recall, and her attention to detail.
You must be daft if you think its a 'female' thing. Do you think we'd be more scared of "omg its a vagina" than we would be of a "omg its a black man?" Seriously now.

There is a history in The U.S. and in other countries of people saying that a person is not fit to lead because they are female. Those people are still out there and they will point to Palin, and say, "See we were right, women aren't qualified for politics." And many of the people who support her are supporting her only because she has a vagina. So it is about gender, but you are right in saying that it should not be. Stupid is stupid, male or female, and that should be the end of it.

So, I guess you're not familiar with NOW, National Organization for Woman, saying that they would defend and support any woman regardless of their beliefs, but when it came to Sarah Palin, NOW leaders attacked her saying, "well, she's more a conservative MAN than a woman" primarily due to the fact she thinks it's not a "right" for women to be able to eat their own young. A slew of other liberals have attacked her saying she wasn't a "real" woman because her beliefs didn't allign w/ liberalism.

Just because a person is a charismatic, proficient orator doesn't make them fully qualified to be a good president, either. Unfortunately, too many Americans have placed "speaks well in front of a crowd" much too high on the qualifications list of "What makes a Good President."

If someone can't handle an amiable Katie Couric, then yes, being able to speak to others makes a hell of a difference in the 'list' of qualifications.
I asked where "eating babies" came from. Certainly you have a REAL example of NOW's absurd behavior? Or am I suppose to simply guess what NOW wants of her, and take your word on it. Asking for real (unexaggerated) examples is hardly too much to ask. It may be too much for you to give though.

1st, if you saw the interview you'd know Katie Couric was not amiable. She abandoned her "America's Sweetheart" persona in favor of a nasty scowl & rather aggressive demeanor. Watch it objectively, you'll see. About "eating their young"-it's an idiomatic expression (look up the definition). NOW didn't say it, I did-in reference to the wholesale slaughter of a woman's own flesh & blood for the sake of not being inconvenienced by the life of another person-her own child.

What you call "slaughter" is another persons saving grace. Its a private healthcare issue, and one the gov't doesn't belong in. Further, most abortions are done in the 1st trimester, and there is no "dismembered" fetus.
Any woman that makes the choice lives with it, and you'll only hear from those who are told they should be guilty. Most go on with their lives, perfectly content. You hardly get a say in THEIR physical choice, and sterility is not a side effect, you fear-mongerer.

Dredd Scott decision was overturned. Not relevant to the discussion. Several Court cases and laws have made Dred Scott a moot point. Why should she mention it in this context when it is NOT relevant to what Katie Curic is asking??
