How about: if you took a photo of the flower, then showed others, and went on about how nice it was.But they would only have your word on it's surroundings,it's smell the wind moving it etc..yet the flower would still be there, and if it was perennial come back year after year.That's the feeling I get that I can't explain,when we make music.

Yes, my friend exactly!! My favorite moment in music making is the capturing of a "presence" ... I discovered it years ago, and often find myself stumbling upon it, if that makes sense... It could be me, outside of time, revisiting myself for memories sake. Is it possible to haunt yourself? It's kind of hard to explain, yes.

When you say haunt that can be many different things.

Creating a time bubble that "plays" the time while you listen to the song,then closes again.

You have put yourself in the music and you scare yourself,sometimes.

Or unknowing possessed by a spirit of a musician and you are the vessel inbeetween.

A large subject to tackle this !
