I find it interesting that Ailenn Quinn is listed dead last in the opening credits, even after Sandy the dog. And then its as "and introducing" as if she was some sort of guest star with a small cameo appearance. I mean for goodness sake, shes only plays the lead role, the title role in this movie. I guess her agent didnt have enough clout.

How can you say that? Almost 30 years later and it's one of the most loved musicals it's a shame you think that cause if I saw Huston now, I'd say be proud, it's a fantastic classic film and the Disney version just emphasises how good this one truly is :)

"Annie" is the favorite John Huston movie of people who don't know who John Huston is. It still makes me cringe to see his name in the opening credits. It has none of the labors of love he put into the films before this (Maltese Falcon, Treasure of Sierra Madre, Asphalt Jungle, The Misfits, Fat City, The Man Who Would Be King, Wise Blood) or even the ones that came after (Under the Volcano, Prizzi's Honor, The Dead). Next to Cimino's "Heaven's Gate" it's the most wasteful movie of the 1980's.
