We have to be careful to not cross the line from jazziness into just DOING TOO MUCH. I think she was not musically tasteful. If I had never heard the song before I wouldn't have known what she was singing. She had SOME hot moments though.

like i said before i luv her i just think she needs work. i know in time she will come full circle i was just saying that she is not there yet. she was her in charlotte a month or so ago and i went to see her and she just sang she didnt move from the same spot on stage. and her pitch was way off. she reminds me of a female version of john legend. he is aways off pitch too. difference is he made it part of his style. lol

Of course she has an amazing voice but her rifting style is pretty nice and no it doesn't get boring it's called jazz sweetie. If you have ever been to The Sugarbar you would know that they have lots of Jazz acts there. But I understand you may feel that the melody gets lost.

All hope's not lost just yet since it's only been two months since her album was released. Not sure if she'll make the deadline to be nominated for a Grammy early next year but I've been picturing her for a while now performing "Lions Tigers and Bears" at the awards show backed by an orchestra. That could definitely boost record sales.
I must agree, I was so disappointed when her album came out. She did what most neo soul/ soul artists do and left out most of the jazzy soul and made a pop record to meet sales.

wow she is amazing and it's funny how i came across her last year and said damn she's tight but in the back of my mind thought she'll never make it because of the odds and it show's you how talent is talent.
