the real reason fights go to the ground is because most people cant fight, also grappling is a sport, it only works when you have rules, in a street fight its stupid to grapple, you risk being jumped, and your too close, you could lose an eye, get bitten, scratched, get killed. Real grappling is not submitting a person, real fighting is when one person doesnt survive. And theres only 1 standing. In the USA only Soldiers know this, but in Asia its common sense.
