EVERY player, Dion,Baxter, Karlyle, they were all sent down to the minors so the Pens could draft Les Magnifique. Hey, lucky for you, the hockey Gods seem to love the Pens for some reason, they keep saving your asses by letting you draft phenoms. I guess the Pens are the luckiest team in the NHL. Dipietro's contract has yet to be labeled, if he wins a cup, you have nothing to say. Therefore, it's incomplete. Coach, smoach, Nolan is a darn good coach, everyone has a bad year or two to allow the youth to come up and that is what Nolan is known for, working with young players.

The Pens did send their players to the minors in 1984 to drop the last 20+ games. It's well known, I am not saying anything new, but do you blame the Pens......in a way? It was either draft Mario, or the Penguins were gone.

They saved their jobs at the expense of hard earned money from fans. Not much hard earned money because no one went to Pens games. I have nothing against the Pens, the Isles have always gotten the better of them. Just stating facts and facts are stubborn.

I like how the Pens seem to have 9 lives. Since they "purposely" lost those last 20 games in 1984 for draft Mario and then get Crosby and then almost lose the team completely.
