One of the most disturbing aspects of this is that the local police are helping BP to cover this up and violating our civil rights. Dont the police care that they are violating the law by acting as BPs security force. Who is paying them....Does BP control our police force now. How do we stop this? When the police and government are in bed with the corporations to cover up a toxic crime like this it is the beginning of the end for all of us.

@jubeidamasta oh yes in 20yrs time there will be gorgeous homes all over that site and the area will be named Oily Acres!. But seriosuly who can predict the far reaching effects of houses on this land one day. Surely there will be leaching of gases and poisons somehow.
