Yeeesss... provided you believe it. The problem is that people either switch off UAC, or they get tricker.... they _really_ want to see Brittany Spears and Lindsay Lohan, so they bypass all the warning messages. And remember... we'll always have Paris.
lol i had a key logger an i new hewas watching an i typed i knoyour keylogging an go the fuck a way an the next thng i kno i was an i web site called f_ _k for free ROFL
people who can't easily be understood shouldn't try to communicate. what are you some illiterate retard? AND=a-n-d KNEW=k-n-e-w KNOW=k-n-o-w....hey at least you got ROFL right. idiot
I collect as many monitoring tools and HIPs as I can find. Frankly, I've yet to find a proper replacement for ProcessGuard/DiamondCS. Something more powerful than SysInternal tools would also be nice. And recently Zonelabs decided to turn ZoneAlarm onto a shitpiece (mostly on the AV front, but the FW is also taking blows).
the same thing happend to me yesterday, i was searching online connect 4 and i went to a site called roughoat, it was a brower exploit and my security system blocked it, I use site advisor
My question is, "Why does Windows allow sites to download software without any user input in the first place?" I realize that a script could emulate user input, but just being able to dump software onto your computer like that just doesn't make sense.
Why can't i seem to find anything on that WebRadar-program? :) Googling it just comes up with a lot of Russian and German sites... Is it freeware? (Probably not...)
newbies would not know any of what you just stated. and thats what roger is trying to explain unsuspecting home users a ripe for the picking with this attack.
"The only way to know what's on the other side of that link is to click it."
You could of course just right-click the link, copy it, and paste it into a text editor for the URL you will be visiting...
Or you could not run scripts, thus preventing Google from running that JavaScript that makes the URL not show up in the first place. :) (NoScript is great for that - noscript <dot> net)

@rogertatmindspring Oh, shucks. It's exactly what I was wondering.

Switch to Mozilla Firefox Browser
Intall the following add-ons, then you'll be ok
Adblock Plus
NoScript
SiteAvisor
and LinkScanner
thats why our friend is "rogertatmindspring" used Internet Explorer on all videos, because Microsofts browser is the one of the problems
Merry Christmas
Great videos by the way and very useful

Sorry ... missed this one. If you're patched, they generally can't force the download. Of course, then they try to trick you with social engineering.

Even if you did, the URL you will see is adsencegooglecom/ads/blalblablablablabla - you still wont see the actual URL.
