  • misleading title LOL

  • Answer = Don't download LinkScat ,use a REAL Browser.

    Fuck IE

    Use Google Chrome

  • We need an organic browser!

  • Tip. When you type the google website url in the top bar of your browser, LOOK CLOSELY AT IT, don't type goggle on accident.

  • @lifeisalive damn.. thats how i got it....

  • Comment removed

  • i never knew it tell you where they LIVE!

  • You can also use McAfee Site Advisor, SiteHound, or WOT (addon for Firefox)

  • WOT is also for IE :)

I use WOT, Site Advisor, and currently installing this.

  • damn that prog looks sweet.

  • what, linkscanner or the virus?

  • Yeeesss... provided you believe it. The problem is that people either switch off UAC, or they get tricker.... they _really_ want to see Brittany Spears and Lindsay Lohan, so they bypass all the warning messages. And remember... we'll always have Paris.

  • um somone had got a virus from useing a link scanner,

  • not from linkscanner from useing link scanner going around on google lol

  • it is in avg8.0

  • hm thats pretty simalar to mcafees thingi XD

  • where do u get link scanner

  • Now included in AVG pro ? not in free I dont think.. could be wrong

AVG just bought them out, good move. AVG is very good now ! in the past it was just a free AV but it is now top notch

  • yeah it is in 8.0 Free I know cuz I have it

  • LinkScanner pro is great

  • you kick ass is ur scanner worth it??

  • do you have a cold? you sound very diffent from your other videos

  • this is a biased video trying to sell their junk to people, there are many ways of finding out fake sites.

  • This is the easiest way though.

  • lol i had a key logger an i new hewas watching an i typed i knoyour keylogging an go the fuck a way an the next thng i kno i was an i web site called f_ _k for free ROFL

  • how did you know there was a key logger? you are my hero

  • people who can't easily be understood shouldn't try to communicate. what are you some illiterate retard? AND=a-n-d KNEW=k-n-e-w KNOW=k-n-o-w....hey at least you got ROFL right. idiot

  • With the free one does it stop you from going to bad sites if you accidentally clicked on it?

  • who the fuck made all the viruses fuck u i wish u die and go to hell

  • What the heck... thats just shocking...

  • i got a key logger from a government site :[

  • linkscanner rocks :D

  • Ware can i get these tools like Webradar, i cant find it noware ??? plz

  • Hi,

Sorry ... it's a research tool that we developed for internal use.

    Roger

  • but you can get linkscaner trial online

  • lol trial

  • @rogertatmindspring Oh, shucks. It's exactly what I was wondering.

I collect as many monitoring tools and HIPs as I can find. Frankly, I've yet to find a proper replacement for ProcessGuard/DiamondCS. Something more powerful than SysInternal tools would also be nice. And recently Zonelabs decided to turn ZoneAlarm onto a shitpiece (mostly on the AV front, but the FW is also taking blows).

  • Switch to Mozilla Firefox Browser

Intall the following add-ons, then you'll be ok

    Adblock Plus

    NoScript

    SiteAvisor

    and LinkScanner

thats why our friend is "rogertatmindspring" used Internet Explorer on all videos, because Microsofts browser is the one of the problems

    Merry Christmas

Great videos by the way and very useful

  • thanx for siteavisor and adblock plus didnt know about them. they are good. u should also include u shoul also include the add on Finjan

  • the same thing happend to me yesterday, i was searching online connect 4 and i went to a site called roughoat, it was a brower exploit and my security system blocked it, I use site advisor

  • Privacy invaded with malice!

  • Indeed! :-)

  • My question is, "Why does Windows allow sites to download software without any user input in the first place?" I realize that a script could emulate user input, but just being able to dump software onto your computer like that just doesn't make sense.

  • Sorry ... missed this one. If you're patched, they generally can't force the download. Of course, then they try to trick you with social engineering.

  • makes me more aware of looking out for bad sites

  • That's the whole idea. :-)

  • Why can't i seem to find anything on that WebRadar-program? :) Googling it just comes up with a lot of Russian and German sites... Is it freeware? (Probably not...)

  • Hi,

WebRadar is a tool we developed for internal use only.

    Cheers

    Roger

  • That looks like a very useful program! If that version isn't public release is there anything like it available?

  • That's pretty scary! Glad I don't use Windoze! (Buy a Mac!)

  • I don't use Windoze either, I use Windows.

  • @ mhwcmnpimvk

newbies would not know any of what you just stated. and thats what roger is trying to explain unsuspecting home users a ripe for the picking with this attack.

  • "The only way to know what's on the other side of that link is to click it."

You could of course just right-click the link, copy it, and paste it into a text editor for the URL you will be visiting...

Or you could not run scripts, thus preventing Google from running that JavaScript that makes the URL not show up in the first place. :) (NoScript is great for that - noscript <dot> net)

  • Even if you did, the URL you will see is adsencegooglecom/ads/blalblablablablabla - you still wont see the actual URL.

  • Indeed - Delphi as well ;-) If you want someone to beta test it......

  • Wouldn't mind a copy. Sexy Delphi app :P

  • Very perceptive of you. Obviously a programmer! Maybe one day we'll release it.

    :-)

    Roger

  • What is WebRadar?

  • It's one of our internal diagnostic tools. Among other things, it has the abilty to detect file creations in real time, and in this case we used it to show the infection happening.

    Cheers

    Roger

  • I know Roger the author of this video on Google Exploits, and he is the real thing. A true expert in his field. He was even asked to speak to US congress on Spyware Malware issue, so you can believe what he is say!
