If I had 100 000 € I know what I would buy. The most basic price is around 65 000 €, but you need trycle gear, good instruments, rocket parachute. And then you have yourself a 140 knot airplane. It has 300 ft takeoff roll. around 1500 ft/min max climb (depending on weight). the only thing i don't like is, that you have to use a lot of rudder in turns (It has very small rudder surface)
@jwboll You need parachute it is some countries, because all flying machine under 450 kg need it. But is possible it will be used also in general aviazion (PPL). anyway barely any play uses rudder when in cruise. The vertical control surface was very small, and not far from center of gravitiy. I didn't flew the SW version, only normal Virus, but I think they didn't changed it.
Hello Eine, Im Ramon Vera, Im the Pipistrel dealer for Mexico together with Mr Hugo Herrera, Im working on a promotional video of the SW, I would like to use part of your video on mine, please let me know if we can... Thanks and congrats again !!!
laut Fliegermagazin 5/2011
101900 € für Basisausstattung, Woodcomp Varia 170cm manu/mech, und Galaxy GRS 6/473 SD Rettungssystem inkl. Mwst.
79900 € für Bausatz.

Also ich habe mich beim Lesen verliebt. Sehr gut gemachtes Video - danke dafür.
In den USA ist die Rutsche als LSA 600 KgMTOM zugelassen - Baugleich!
Laut Artikel soll das auch in Europa passieren.

@jolandic when at cruising speed, you don't touch the rudder. when flying slow, you need some rudder for turns, but not as much as most planes.
I bought the tail wheel version, and am loving every minute of it.
you also don't "need" the parachute, but, it's cheap insurance.

@jolandic The virus sw 100 has shorter wings and less Flaperons, which probably makes the difference in rudder input needed.
