If you watch closely at 0:23 you can see a Bold 9700, which leads us to see that they are able to run it on a Bold 9700 :P Good news for me and others 9700 owners arround the globe :P
why don't people with BB's just use Opera Mini??? it's faster and look good, nothing wrong with 3rd parties app's, I hope to tech that you all aren't still using Internet Explorer
@GAMEBOIMARCUS lol, because people dont know about opera mini... i use it on my ipod touch and my blackberry and used safari 4 intil safari 5(nitro based engine)
I've owned every phone practically. First to have a cell phone about 20 years ago. When the transition from car phone to cell phone started. I have had the first Blackberries, an iPhone, and I also own the new sprint evo android. I'm a tech junky.
Blackberry holds the market share for smartphones, with over 35 percent. These phones are the probably the best made, best os. This new browser with the touch pointer is probably better than touch screens. I do like Android also. Last place iPhone
Maybe, from a lag and malware perspective. BlackBerry's never been the fastest, especially with the clunky old browser, but I've never had (even a beta OS) reboot during a call. Happens way too much with Windows Mobile.
ha lmao never i had mutiple blackberrys but most phones are just passing them by rim is super slow with updates not just software but physical/hardware as well just behind android, iphone, htc, windows etc everyone is moving ahead & BB just now wants to up its web broswer wow! i loved my bb but i had to move with the times & rim is taking too long to catch up with the future of electronics thats all!
well 1st do u see how big & bulky the g1 is and i can say whats the difference between every tour or curve they all look the same same size same buttons same web same app world nothing then just a number 8830, 8130, 9530. 9520, i mean just the number so whats different between them??? nothing just a newer ui u stil have to do a battery pull everyday twice a day in 2010 why i never will understand
The G1 doesn't lose a data connection when it begins to receive a call. "Droid does."
And, there are different models to accommodate different consumers. The 8300 has no WiFi or GPS, i.e. cheap. The 8310 has GPS but no WiFi. The 8320 has WiFi (thus UMA calling) but no GPS. It's called consumer choice.
And, battery pulls haven't been necessary since OS 4.5 came out.
well i don't have a old bulky g1 so i couldnt tell ya what it does beside have a akward wrap around when the keyboard is out and ur a lie if u havent had to do battery pulls since 4.5 i still had to do them runing 5.0 & they would keep makin quick pull programs if u did not have to do battery pulls anymore & they spend time making the same model bb every year with or with a camera or wife or gps which is standard in most up to date phones why leave those options out?
And, because there are a lot of people who would choose not to (or people work for companies who won't LET them) have certain hardware. Why does the 8800 World Edition have an option not to have a camera? Because there are customers that have to choose either NO BlackBerry or a BlackBerry without a camera. Customer satisfied. GPS and WiFi murder battery life and raise device cost, so you don't wan't it in your phone if you don't want to use it.
well thats all good but if I myself feel if im paying for a data plan plus the cost of the phone and a contract i want my bang for my bucks u know like i said i just gave up my BB like 4 days ago i loved it but i wanted more maybe once it gets i will go back im still a crackberry @ heart but right now im rolling with android.
i never said it was just the browser that was just one gripe i had i mean then new web kit they r working on is pretty much the iphone/android kit and beside that the app world sucked nothing to fun really setting up paypal account the amount of apps on top on the small internal memory that drains so much as the day goes on how slow rim is to software up date the UI could use a make over even though its still kinda a new UI for BB but i will say my BB had a great bright camera & verizon is great
Bear in mind, WebKit originated with neither Apple nor Google. It started with the KDE crew 8 years ago. And, nothing fun, granted, but again... Is the primary use (or even any legitimate use) of a device using it as a light saber? You choose random free apps over security or reliability? Your internal memory point is valid up until the 9xxx-series. The Pearl refresh needs to hurry, but all the other lines are there. UI is a funny thing. Changing it excites new users but orphans existing ones.
P.S. Putting a true multi-tasking device like a BlackBerry on a CDMA network is more crippling than locking down the GPS or stripping out WiFi. Oh, wait...
yea but im sure there not gonna use the original one from 8 years ago its gonna pretty much be similar to the iphone/android kit i mean and it only took how long & who knows when it will actually come out with rim & then a waiting on the software upgrade for it whew and ill just continue to bask in android glory i love it so far only thing i miss is viigo so far
I know. LOL... And, of course not, but it's still descended from it. Point being, the BlackBerry system has been refined for decades to be reliable, secure, energy-efficient, and just work. Just look at the way the two platforms handle Facebook...
If mozilla will make a browser for my blackberry soon, I'll wipe my ass with everything else...

How does that change the fact that the Droid is an over-hyped G1 that can't even properly multitask?

Keyboard is all personal preference. I like the Curve-series keypad (not the 85xx, the 89xx), but you use what you want for your phone.
And, if you have to do battery pulls with 5.0, something is wrong. A funky third-party app, maybe?
