@FNAB15 No your not the only one, but the only reason I can see it as such is because the series, besides it being legendary, is its story is way more defined. Halo on the other hand, if it was to be remade (CE,2, and 3) and get its story straight finally, would be hella amazing. Its story is up there with the likes of Mass Effect but I guess Bungie didnt expect it to kick off so strong, hence we got what we have.

My only real problem with this game is all of the people in it. Every other metroid is samus on her own with no help from the federation whatsoever, with the exception of metroid fusion, but even that was only a talking computer. For me, the interactions with people kept making it feel less and less like metroid.

I thought it allowed the Metroid universe to feel more realized and developed. You got to see the ins and outs of the Space Pirates, Chozo, Metroids, X-Parasite and their respective societies, history and culture (through the scanning and logs) It was only a matter of time before they gave the same treatment to the Federation that Samus holds consistent loyalty to in nearly all the games. Plus it's about time they put voice acting in Nintendo franchises why speak through text inthe 2000s?

Great game, don't get me wrong. They just kind of went overboard with the minor interactive stuff, like all the gizmos on Samus's ship which you can interact with but never use, and all those energy tanks and doors which you had to physically pull out, turn, push in, etc.

They were fun at the beginning, but when they kept showing up you know that was Nintendo getting giddy about Wii remote interactivity.

Nintendo did dable with a speaking Samus in Fusion, but having her talk again is a bit of a risk, as several gamers(I don't know how many) responded angrily, complaining that having Samus talk forced a personality on them, rather then lettingb them imagine her the way they want. I disagree, as Samus has a clearly defined identity and most fans perceptions of her are generally the same, but it remains unknown what Nintendo will do.

Naw, she's given narrations in Super Metroid and Zero Mission and in fusion, she gave monoluges and had conversations with her computer, Adam. In Smash Bros. Brawl, she speaks in all her taunts and one victory scene, but that's the extent of her speech so far. MP3, in the introduction of voice acting, felt like the perfect oppurtunity but I'm not sure if they ever will now.
