My rescue Heeler is SUPER fast, kind of scary, because of cars. He does not chase cars, they chase him! lol j/k. But seriously, some have called him a "Stumpy tail" But I think he was docked before I got him. When I looked up the beautiful "Stumpy" They are all one mix of colors and zero tan on the paws, and no Bently mark. I am not spamming the vid, but he has one on here. Do you think he is Heeler or Stumpy? Reasearch said they are two different breeds. Thank you, ~Kevin~
My boyfriend has a 2yr old male blue heeler and everytime i get close to my boyfriend (like to hug him or something) his dog whines loudly like he's getting jealous. Any advice to stop this annoying behavior??? Help!
Best. Dogs. Ever. My crazy dingo is nine years old and hasn’t changed or slowed down a lick her whole life. She was born deaf, but it hasn’t been a hindrance. In fact, I would say it has made her more loyal and attentive. She constantly checks in with me and registers visual cues in her environment. Love her so much.
They crave training and almost cannot stop learning , Ha yes your right , it does take a certain kind of need or person to keep up with one( previosly joking)?
I've had MANY dogs in my life, but this heeler, takes the crown. I have no words for how amazing they are...my partner works a ranch, and I'm getting him a Wheeler pup as a surprise.
Jeff donates calendars to ACD rescues. His 2011 calendar has the most incredible ACD action shots. Thanks, Jeff, for all you do to help this wonderful and sometime miss-understood breed . ACD's are the best, just not the breed for everyone.
Our ACD is probably the most intelligent and affectionate dog I have known. She responds to a number of commands... "Give me 5" "Give me 10" "Give me a hug" "Turn around" "Stand up" and so many more... She loves the interaction and has a great smile when she is happy. She thrives on affection and is a very quick learner, with an almost uncanny ability to understand what is being asked of her. She understands sign language as well as vocal commands. Wonderful breed.
Awesome images! I have a blue and a red ACD and I agree with you re their loyalty. Both are obedience trained and when i had my daughter they heeled to the pram to protect her instead of me. They are great all round dogs!
Fantastic Vid! I have two ACD dogs. I would not have it any other way. I am actually thinking of getting a third. Super smart dogs, very attentive to their owner. The only thing is i regret that they have had their tails docked (not by my choice).
I don't live on a farm, but we spent a lot of time in the Utah mountains. I feel save with my dogs knowing they will protecting me when and if I come across a cat.
Hello! I'm looking for the show of Cattle dog work with Cattle. Chould you please send some information of the ranch which has cattle dog work with cattle in Australia? My e-mail address:Michelle_Hsu@weichuan.com.tw thank you very much!
Awesome shots of some really great working heelers. They are the best dogs ever!!! They make the best companion dogs as well, as long as you exercise them every day and have plenty of ball or frisbee action. I love my little girl Sky to pieces!!!!!
This video is awesome. My 7yr old ACD Sarah is my baby. She is so spoiled, she sleeps in my bed and If I leave her alone too long I feel bad and come home with a new toy for her lol.
thanks for uploading!!!! and of course i have the very best acds in the world... as does anyone who has had the privilege to have an acd as a family member will tell you. their cow dog was the best who ever lived!!! they are life changing!!!
when im trying to get my dog out of the yard and back into the house , and he doesn't comply , and trys to run away from me , my acd will bite at his neck in my direction , can anyone tell me if thats considered herding ?
Well, the basics of herding are that the dog wants to control the movement of the livestock. Gathering (getting all the stock together in one spot), fetching (bringing the stock to you), and driving (pushing the stock away from you) are the three basics. It would seem your ACD wants to control the movement of your other dog and "persuade" the other dog to come back to you. That would seem like some herding instincts are kicking in.
@jeff185 Nice video of your ACDs. I have a 16month old Red Heeler mix, Ginger is the most amazing, intense dog I have ever owned. Athletic, energetic, loyal to a fault and attentive, the ACD is one big, big dog in a medium size package.
@wachalookingfour. I lost my acd Jason 3 years ago. To this day my eyes well up thinking of him. My ACD I have now is Jake. I firmly believe there is life after death for dogs. Yours gave his defending who he loved most, and when it is your time to leave this world, he'll be waiting to greet you. You will be together again, and you'll pick up rite where you left off.
You've got some really nice pics in here! These dogs are so lucky -- they get to herd cattle. I live in the suburbs with my two heelers, who go on walks and to the dog park (where they try to herd the other dogs) but it would be so awesome if they had some cows or sheep to chase.
Great photos of great dogs! My ACD/German Shepherd mix, Sydney, passed in May 2010 of osteosarcoma (cancer) in her pelvis...spent thousands on her trying to fix it but nothing could be done...only 2 1/2 years old, just coming into her prime. Have a new lovely girl..McNab/Aussie Shepherd mix, Chili. Herding breeds are the best!
An Australian Cattle Dog would absolutely destroy a pitbull pretty quickly..... I'm sorry but its the truth. ACD's are much tougher, more sturdy dogs than overrated pitbulls.
I have owned pitbulls all my life so no pitbull fan can tell me wrong. My uncle owns an ACD and it makes all my pitbulls ive ever had seem like wimps.
@Tahlia350 Lol, that's right mate. Blue heelers are absolutely insane. When they go postal there is no hope, not even for a male bull! Craziest dog in the world.
@morningstomper123 Your correct about everything except it being the craziest dog in the world.
Australian Cattle Dogs may be tough but a Bull Terrier would still destroy it pretty quickly. ACD's get their toughness and 'crazyness' from Bull Terrier. ACD's are a 1/4 Bull Terrier.
Good question. As the dog becomes more aware of the task and gains experience, the dog should learn to come in very low and fast under the arc of the kick and nip the weight-bearing heel. It requires speed, accuracy and the ability to time the 'hit' on the heel that has the weight on it. That is the desired method. Some dogs never get the concept or don't get the timing down. Some dogs heel high or on the wrong heel. Those are the ones that will get kicked.
@jeff185 I've two blue heelers. and they are interesting to watch. If U watch them pushing a lone cow you can actually see him moving from side to side always watching the weight bearing leg. It's pretty funny. The cows never have a chance :)
@66chevyo We had horses with our old ACD, and she did get kicked know and again. I used to only have Border Collies and got my first ACD as a stray.. fell in love with that dog after watching her get tagged over the eye by a horse and instead of running away she got pissed and came back at the horse twice as hard... bleeding and crying.. but determined. My Border Collies would not have taken a kick that well (although they were too smart to get kicked in the first place).
Great vid, thanks! My first ACD was a stray and the smartest dog I have ever met. He was so well trained and a true working dog, someone must have really missed him but as hard as I tried no one came forward (lucky for me). He cut the time it took to get all the livestock out of the pasture down a whole lot. But my best friend of all time, my second ACD, has recently passed and I miss him every day. He was such a smart-ass and as we all know 100% loyal! Love ACD's.
My ACD was the best. He died two years ago. Not from old age but from three pit bulls and one boxer. He was defending me from some dogs that got out of the house and he was with me on my daily run. The vet told me i needed to put him to sleep. he was in a very bad shape. I was soooo sad i even cry (i don't like to cry). he was the best. rest in peace John Parker Demitrsiky
@MiniSix8 thanks... Just to let you know he actually killed one of the pitbulls and badly injured the other two. Now i have another one, she is not full breed. But i love her. she looks like my last one. Another thing i also liked about John Parker was that he would actually wait for me to come home to start playing with him and his fav ball. I still have the ball. As a way of remembering him.
@wachalookingfour I am so sorry. Losing a pup is like losing a child. I am sorry for your loss. I bet he was fantastic and died protecting his family. What a beautiful pup he must have been.
@wachalookingfour I feel for you mate, I have a 7 y.o. cow dog name Bishop (he was a rescue dog) and he's my best friend in the world...and he is truely fearless, he'll defend my wife to the death if he had to...and yes I'd cry if anything ever happened to him!
@wachalookingfour Sorry to hear about you heeler..what a terrible thing to happen, but obviously your heeler loved you and wanted to protect you. Brave dog and may he rest in peace. I believe this breed to be the best ever in my opinion. I have a new male pup coming tomorrow, he will join my female Dusty and I will name him Buster. Watch my channel for vids coming.
@BTSchnauzers thanks, i would love to see your vids. By the way, now i have another dog, she is mixed but i like her a lot. i found her on the side of the street and taught what a beautiful dog. and yes JPD was a brave little dog.
@wachalookingfour I am sorry for your loss. I love heelers and understand completely. I rescued a pit bull who hhad been traumatized (ie fought) and in a little over a yr, she has completely transformed. Her best buddy is a young ACD named Billy.
im still amazed seeing blue heelers in the states there SO HARD TO FIND IN AUSTRALIA!!! well pure ones poeple keep breeding them with kelpies or border collies
I found my ACD on the streets. He acted like he was abused and stuff it was very sad because he's a fullbred and he's the sweetest kindest dog you could ever ask for. I found him when he was 1 1/2, He's the best dog anyone could ask for. He's so gentle, sweet and friendly. Very obdient and very strong willed. He's a little iffy around other dogs though but I think that's from being on the streets he loves cats though. He's the best dog Ever:)
I have an ACD, he is nearly 5 months old now. I wouldn't change him for the world! He gets on well with children and people. Loves attention and company.
Awesome slid...I would love to see video of them working. I don't have any full bloods but I've got a 1/2 GSD 1/4 BC 1/4 ACD mix, he is my side kick I use him to bring in colts, a lot of the heeler/ACD shows up in him, and hes farly good at turning them. And I've got a ACD/Black Mouth Cur cross, just a pup still but wants to work, has a lot of bite, both are keen and loveing. I've grown up with stock dogs and for me there is nothing better!
Awesome video. Thats a mean looking heeler at 1:07!. I recently said goodbye too my red heeler x dingo. He was the most loyal, fearless smart dog .. He had a wild sense about him.. ive never seen in any other dog.
We got given to us from an Aborginal Community so not sure if she's 100% ACD but she is a Blue Heeler and she's great- only down side is she can be very destructive and likes to escape eg dig holes under the fence- I'm trying to spend more time with her and train her abit more so she can listen to commands etc.
They are very nice dogs, i had a mix when i was 3, HER name was jake (= diddent know it was a boy dog name!! (Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler and Border Collie mix)
I've got respect for Kelpie lovers. Generally speaking, Kelpies being a loose-eyed breed, are great for herding sheep and herding cattle who put up with stink-eye. However, for close-up pen work or cattle with bad attitudes, my vote goes to the ACD. I have seen a few Kelpies who could do the work but like I said, a well-trained ACD in tight areas with unwilling cattle gets my vote. Open field work with sheep or compliant cattle, I'll choose the Kelpie.
@jeff185 I love both dogs equally that said i would never work a ACD on sheep and i would never work a kelpie on cattle. Kelpies are perfect for sheep work not as big as the ACD and with less bite. ACDs are better then kelpies for cattle because they are bigger and have that bite factor that said there are always excpetions to the rules! i love aussie dogs
@jeff185 G'day Jeff. Just wondering if you could tell me about this "loose eyed breed". I have never heard of this term.
I have a cattledog and a kelpie. The kelpies stare is a trademark of the breed, it is so much more intense than my cattledogs stare. The only time the cattledog stares like that is when he see's another dog. As you know they can be cranky towards other dogs. The kelpies drive for work is also alot higher than the cattledog too
I don't know if that term is just a localized term or if it universal. "Loose eyed breed" is the opposite of an "eyed breed". Eye breeds are Border Collies and Kelpies that push the livestock with their eye from a distance. Loose eyed herding dogs are ACDs, Corgis, and others that push livestock more by heading, heeling and close proximity.
@kenraq2000 i lost my rottie 3 months ago its hard as hell even now i still miss him the only thing i can say is time heals all wounds but the first couple of weeks are hard
I just lost my baby girl last month. She was hit by a car at a friends house, she didn't even make it to a year. :( I am looking for another breeder, we are definately going to have another ACD. I am so excited, it's a little bitter sweet tho. I have fallen completely head over heels for this breed in the short amount of time that Bandy was with us. They are truely great dogs!!
Anyone who is saying that these dogs shouldn't bite the cattle or nip people's feet doesn't know anything about livestock or working cow dogs. This is how people don't get hurt by 1000-2000 pound animals. Otherwise a human could be hurt.
hands down the best dog to own i got one whos 9 months old named skeet. hes a red and smart as a tack, be advised be ready to train this breed and be very active outdoors else they will get bored and destrutive. otherwise the best dog extremely loyal
@floridacracker44 WRONG!! People should own a dog suited to there own engergy level.. if some old fat lazy ass person goes and buys an ACD its going to destroy the place.. he would be suited to a bulldog.. But i must say Kelpies are better :P
I actually have an ACD mix as a service dog and trained her myself. ACD's as service dogs cannot be trained by someone else and switched to a disabled person like most labs can. However we have built an insepertable bond, and as people have said... she is not one you want to step over to get me. I have yet for her to growl, bite, snap or raise hair at someone who comes near me. However is ALWAYS VERY aware of our surroundings and peoples intentions. She is blk/bwn brindle named Makiya
OK. I have an ACD and i will guarantee thees dogs will die before they let a stranger pick up even a penny its good owner dropped. Stronger than a pit bull, as agile as a greyhound, more loyal than any retriever and smarter than most humans. These dogs are the BEST!!!
BTW these dog do not take abuse! All ACDs are Alpha-ish. Challenge one and find out. Care for one and acquire your best friend. They always remember who pulled the thorn from their paw!
Checkout the Australian Kelpie has a higher working drive than the Cattledog. They are also much gentler with stock but will still move anything. Ive got a Cattledog and a Kelpie. Both bitza's though : )
beautiful pictures of beautiful dogs! i have 4 heeler myself and they are just absolutely amazing dogs. i have one red, two blue and one chocolate and unfortunately, i dont have cattle but i do have agility equipment lol. thanks for the awesome video
Aw, excellent cattle dog pix & nice music! One or two of'em look a lot like my supercute blue heeler. She bites the lawn mower & vacuum cleaner since I don't have any cattle but she's nice to my cats & to kids and just such an awesome fun dog. She loves iceberg lettuce, is that crazy?
In Australia (which I'm sure you know), owners of sheep dogs have been ordered to muzzle their dogs whether they rounding up or loading sheep. Is it the same for cattle dogs?
How funny my sister and her family have an australian cattle dog as a pet only and it doesnt even see cattle, but sometimes when its playful with me it gently bites my ankles, as im walking, the same way you can see it doing here to the cows. Must be an inbred characteristic.
@justnatural - that's why they call them "heelers" . They control movement of cattle by nipping (biting) at the heels of cattle. It is in their blood.
@jeff185 Those are some very good pictures. My uncle had an old retired ACD on his farm and man was it solid. When i was riding his quad it kept biting the wheels and i kept accidentally running over its head countless times. Yet it still kept doing it. It died from a snake bite though.
@justnatural Yes they will also nip at your heels and try to round your family up if they don't have any cattle to control. Hahaha they're cute little critters. Mine is a pet also and he's barely 3 months and already starting to nip at everyone. So we're trying to train him. He's a really good dog.
AMAZING dogs, But yes a lot of training but in the end definently worth the hard work! I have a 9 month red heeler:) He is still a pill but getting better each day!
Nice video! I had the wonderful first had experience of this breed of dog (ACD). They will give you all they have in what ever you may be doing. Mine hunted with me for 11 years and he excelled at it on his own. Please watch my tribute video for him if you would like. ~Stickbow
I have a ACD. She is 14 years old and has been a wonderful pet and companion. At 14 she is a little slower than she used to be but still my best and always willing exercise partner. When my kids were younger mty ACD (Taz short for "Tasmania") would herd the kids into a corner of the backyard and then wait for them to disperse and then herd them into a corner again. The kids loved it and so did Taz. Wonderful animals. Thanks for the post!
Austalia( blue healer dogs) is not a good dog to have to bring in livestock... Very hard to train and very head strong. I do understand the Border colllie CAN be the same way... You will be better off with a 1 Yr old working BC. Than and Aust...
jeff185, YOU are a class act and a true gentleman. Great vid and great dogs! Thank you so much for sharing and keeping it here. I come back to view it every so often. I get goose bumps when I watch it.
My GOODNESS but some people's shoes must be too tight to get such harsh comments! LOL
@happybonzo i hope it doesnt take 30 yrs for mine so far ive been waiting ten but i have to wait til i get out of the USMC in about 8yrs im getting one of these as soon as i get my own place
@Dkelly160 You are awesome Dkelly 160 - thank you for your service in the USMC! Me & my cattle dog thank you - she would lick you and I would hug you. Rock on, and it's gonna be awesome when you get your cattle dog.
@Dkelly160 - Just picked up on your reply - my apologies
I have just had Digger vacinated for the Brit Pet Passport scheme. Now I can take him to France. He will, no doubt, enjoy c**ping all over their pavements/sidewalks. The French don't seem to care where their dogs do it.
I see that your in the USMC. I did a number of years in the Royal Marines
Unless he is referring to an Australian Stumpy Tailed Cattle Dog. Different breed than the ACD. ACD's are born with a tail that shouldn't be docked. Stumpies are born without tails.
Pound for pound, these might be the hardiest, toughest dogs I have ever seen! And SO intelligent. We just got a mutt, his mom was a heeler and dad was a coonhound :) I'm looking around to see what to expect. He seems to take after his mom - tries to herd us around the house (8weeks old right now). I can't wait for his shots to be done so I can walk him (you have to worry about these things in the city). Thankfully right now the back yard is as big as a ranch to him:) Great vid, lovely dogs
my McNAB works all day & would give his life 4 me my 2nd wont have another breed check out the mcnab line of stock dogs better socially than the heeler!just as tuff, cat like agility and does love to get after stock
Good point and I have to agree with you there should be no indiscriminate face chomping. However, in order to stop forward movement of cattle, a dog must be able to go to the head to turn the cattle. Some cattle don't respect the dog and will literally run over them. A dog who is unwilling or too afraid to go to head is not worth having around cattle. Biting the nose is a tool and is only appropriate in certain situations. These dogs were bred to heel and to head as part of the total package.
You must be a rancher with a lot of experience with Australian Cattle dogs I gather. Or just soeone making statement with lack of knowledge about the breed and no understanding about controlling cattle with ACDs Im an Aussie and bet you are from the US. I have only had these dogs for about 40 years so I guess my imput or disagreement with your statement has no foundation ah?? Woof Woof
As Jeff185 said, controlling the nose is one thing but there are a group of people here in the US who encourage dogs to dig in and hang on for their own foolish amusement. This is not herding. If my dog can't control direction without tearing up my livestock, it's my failure as a trainer or an unintelligent dog. My opinion.
my dog will head if he has to some animals are rank thats the way it is and i bet some of that stock was new to dogs!the dog was breakiN the will of the stock thats what they do!!!!! so quit your belly acheN
I knew a guy who thought it was amusing to have his ACD hang off the nose, not head the cattle swiftly as it should be done. I warned him & now his dog is dead. The idiots think this is entertaining until their dog ends up squashed. I understand the difference. You train your dog to control your stock and I certainly don't want my stock getting damaged or my dog getting killed. There are some very stupid people that consider themselves trainers.
@flagwaver1969 I have seen some pretty aggressive ACD not far from me, this farm i know they have many really nice bulls for A1, and working those bulls i can imagine the dogs have to be pretty aggressive, I don't know about you but i have seen first hand bulls charging their care takers and its not a pretty site. I would rather see a bulls face chomped then to see someone get hurt or killed by these bulls.
My famiyl just adopted a5 month old australian stumpy tailed cattle dog from the rspca and she has been lovely, no nipping, respectful of our cats and other animal and to think the people who bred her were going to shoot the entire litter :( only had her for one day and she already sits on command :)
Good video, nice music... My Blue Healer, Hazel dog, likes watching (g!)...

Dilbet57Wombo 10 months ago
@Dilbet57Wombo

Tahlia350 1 year ago
@Tahlia350 Lol, that's right mate. Blue heelers are absolutely insane. When they go postal there is no hope, not even for a male bull! Craziest dog in the world.
morningstomper123 1 year ago
@morningstomper123 Your correct about everything except it being the craziest dog in the world.
Australian Cattle Dogs may be tough but a Bull Terrier would still destroy it pretty quickly. ACD's get their toughness and 'crazyness' from Bull Terrier. ACD's are a 1/4 Bull Terrier.
Bull Terriers are also a lot more crazy lol.

I've seen young ones get kicked straight in the head, shake it off and move to what they were doing...older dogs figure it out
DAVID0665 1 year ago
I'm not in the know.......but what keeps the cows from kicking the shit out of the dogs when they heel them??
66chevyo 1 year ago
@66chevyo
Those are the ones that will get kicked.
jeff185 1 year ago
@jeff185 I've two blue heelers. and they are interesting to watch. If U watch them pushing a lone cow you can actually see him moving from side to side always watching the weight bearing leg. It's pretty funny. The cows never have a chance :)
rancherjongus 9 months ago

I found him when he was 1 1/2, He's the best dog anyone could ask for. He's so gentle, sweet and friendly. Very obdient and very strong willed. He's a little iffy around other dogs though but I think that's from being on the streets he loves cats though. He's the best dog Ever:)

Kelpies are a much better dog sorry all u ACD fanss
YassouMalaka 1 year ago
@YassouMalaka
Open field work with sheep or compliant cattle, I'll choose the Kelpie.
jeff185 1 year ago
@jeff185 Yeah your probably right, ACD's are usually tougher. Ive had both these breeds and really loved them!
YassouMalaka 1 year ago
@jeff185 I love both dogs equally that said i would never work a ACD on sheep and i would never work a kelpie on cattle. Kelpies are perfect for sheep work not as big as the ACD and with less bite. ACDs are better then kelpies for cattle because they are bigger and have that bite factor that said there are always excpetions to the rules! i love aussie dogs
WickedLy15 1 year ago
@WickedLy15 forgot to mention this but GREAT video :D
WickedLy15 1 year ago
@jeff185 G'day Jeff. Just wondering if you could tell me about this "loose eyed breed". I have never heard of this term.
I have a cattledog and a kelpie. The kelpies stare is a trademark of the breed, it is so much more intense than my cattledogs stare. The only time the cattledog stares like that is when he see's another dog. As you know they can be cranky towards other dogs. The kelpies drive for work is also alot higher than the cattledog too
TheAnandaXX 1 year ago
@TheAnandaXX

Anyone who is saying that these dogs shouldn't bite the cattle or nip people's feet doesn't know anything about livestock or working cow dogs. This is how people don't get hurt by 1000-2000 pound animals. Otherwise a human could be hurt.

How funny my sister and her family have an australian cattle dog as a pet only and it doesnt even see cattle, but sometimes when its playful with me it gently bites my ankles, as im walking, the same way you can see it doing here to the cows. Must be an inbred characteristic.
justnatural 1 year ago
@justnatural - that's why they call them "heelers" . They control movement of cattle by nipping (biting) at the heels of cattle. It is in their blood.
jeff185 1 year ago
@jeff185 Those are some very good pictures. My uncle had an old retired ACD on his farm and man was it solid. When i was riding his quad it kept biting the wheels and i kept accidentally running over its head countless times. Yet it still kept doing it. It died from a snake bite though.
It made my staffy look like a wuss :(
bluegama500 1 year ago
@justnatural Yes they will also nip at your heels and try to round your family up if they don't have any cattle to control. Hahaha they're cute little critters. Mine is a pet also and he's barely 3 months and already starting to nip at everyone. So we're trying to train him. He's a really good dog.

Those who permit face chomping on their cattle certainly don't know or care much for their livestock, let alone teaching a dog to herd.
flagwaver1969 2 years ago
Good point and I have to agree with you there should be no indiscriminate face chomping. However, in order to stop forward movement of cattle, a dog must be able to go to the head to turn the cattle. Some cattle don't respect the dog and will literally run over them. A dog who is unwilling or too afraid to go to head is not worth having around cattle. Biting the nose is a tool and is only appropriate in certain situations. These dogs were bred to heel and to head as part of the total package.
jeff185 2 years ago 11
looks like a fine job youve done mate
CATTLEDOGwatchNsheep 2 years ago
You must be a rancher with a lot of experience with Australian Cattle dogs I gather. Or just soeone making statement with lack of knowledge about the breed and no understanding about controlling cattle with ACDs Im an Aussie and bet you are from the US. I have only had these dogs for about 40 years so I guess my imput or disagreement with your statement has no foundation ah?? Woof Woof
TPapania 2 years ago
As Jeff185 said, controlling the nose is one thing but there are a group of people here in the US who encourage dogs to dig in and hang on for their own foolish amusement. This is not herding. If my dog can't control direction without tearing up my livestock, it's my failure as a trainer or an unintelligent dog. My opinion.
flagwaver1969 2 years ago
my dog will head if he has to some animals are rank thats the way it is and i bet some of that stock was new to dogs!the dog was breakiN the will of the stock thats what they do!!!!! so quit your belly acheN
CATTLEDOGwatchNsheep 2 years ago
I knew a guy who thought it was amusing to have his ACD hang off the nose, not head the cattle swiftly as it should be done. I warned him & now his dog is dead. The idiots think this is entertaining until their dog ends up squashed. I understand the difference. You train your dog to control your stock and I certainly don't want my stock getting damaged or my dog getting killed. There are some very stupid people that consider themselves trainers.
flagwaver1969 2 years ago

@flagwaver1969 I have seen some pretty aggressive ACD not far from me, this farm i know they have many really nice bulls for A1, and working those bulls i can imagine the dogs have to be pretty aggressive, I don't know about you but i have seen first hand bulls charging their care takers and its not a pretty site. I would rather see a bulls face chomped then to see someone get hurt or killed by these bulls.
