@Ozziekai1 be depends on how you use reason. If you use reason for 100% of your production I will say no because the protues do not seq. You will need a Hardware seq(MPC for example) or Software(FL, Sonar, Cubase, Logic etc..) Reason will no let you use this cause it does not support VSTs. If you use reason just for its sounds and you seq reason with something else like with a hardware seq or software seq. then yea but, reason does more then what this puppy does

@MonkeyPowers Well its a step down from what came with you 0404 card(Protues X). Remember the composer X. Well they are giving it away free with this, You can't do a lot of the editing as you could with the Protues X but this(Protues VX) is free.

if u want this plug in to work on fl studio first when u installed this vst you are going to select the folder which is in the program file-image line-fl studio 8 or 9- plugins-vst. and once you finish in fl studio to your top left you have file, channels ect. you click on channels-add one-more-refresh-fast scan. once you done the fast scan look on that list for a plug in in red, x the box and double click on it and there u go!!! enjoy

i downloaded this off EMU's website and when i tried to install it on my windows vista, it crashed my computer. so i had to competely delete the VST. WHY DID DIS HAPPEN?

I dont use FL. Its something you have to do cause I hear right many FL people having a problem but, its in your FL setting or something

There are a lot and i mean a LOT of plug ins that wont work or wont work correctly in fl studio, fl is a simple daw designed for beginers IM NOT SAYIN U KANT MAKE GREAT MUSIC ON FL KUZ U CAN, but i personly stopped using fl studio 1stly becauseit dosnt work well with a lot of higher range vsts like, guru, nexus, and the east west quantum leap family of plug ins plus the mixer in fl (even in the new version fl 9)lacks basic functions like independant volume control over left and right pan.

not sure. If u look at the other comments. There is some people talking about how to use it in FL. I never really used FL so I am not sure. Its something u have to do in FL to get tit to work. Also make sureits not a virus on our computer or another software u just installed but, I am sure is u just have to do something with FL

those are very good too. Vstation dont stand up to it as far as eddects goes. vangaurd it better for the gated sounds. nexus uses more CPU. plus the protues vx is a 16 part multi. they all have pluses and minus. you have to see if the protues will fit into your setup

yea. its a rompers so its not like a synth which is better for trance however. I made a sound bank full synth sounds for trance. called synth energy. look above and u see my video response me demo the sounds in the synth energy pack. The drum are good too. For a free synth this is without a doubt is one of the better ones

Your Welcome. I would have to say between Native Instruments Kontakt - East West Quantum Leap Goliath - or Cakewalk Dimension Pro. They all over an advantage over the others. Some people are going to say one is better then the other but, they are sound good just just have diffferent features. go to there site and check them out and judge for yourself

i'm personally getting fed up with Kontact 3, i find the sounds are just too detailed for what i want it for and i end up using my Korgs stuff as i find that 90s sterility works better a lot of the time. That and I'm getting fed up with waiting for it to load.

I use this program as well and it has some awesome sounds, actually... it's hard to believe they give it away for free. The sounds are professional. You can use it as a standalone program, but you'll need to download the free SaviHOST zip file. If you would like to use SaviHOST, do a search on Google or Yahoo for it. I launch the Proteus VX and the MAGIX multi-track recorder and set my recording option to "What U Hear". This is how I record all of my music.

well it could be that your computer can not handle protues x well if its a older computer. any less the 512 ram. or you need to change the buffering on FL to a faster speed.

So why doesn't my Emulator X2 work anymore???

I opened cubase; it hung up on X2, asked for the cd etc. Finally works again as a standalone. I download this and it works fine. Except that there's a suspicious "Upgrade" button on it.

Fortunately I have precius few projects that use X2. Now they've prevented it from being loaded through the c-dilla service. Conveniently placed forums say this is the player, X2 the standalone sampler because it's so powerful it doesn't do well as a VST..
